All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: Considering buying a new Coachmen ChaparralWe bought a 336TSIK last summer and have been happy so far. Just a few small issues that were fixed. My biggest concern is that they do not have a lot of cargo carrying capacity. The brochures state 1700 lbs but when we received the unit, with the option that were on the unit cut the carry capacity to 1200 lbs.Re: Distance between wheels very close?? Cedar CreekI have owned two Cedar Creeks and the spacing between tires on both units was less than 2" and I never had a problem. The only issue was that there was no way to upgrade from an ST to LT tires as the LTs were too big to fit and have enough weight rating on the tires.Re: Quality Coachman Chaparral 29BHSWe have a new 2016 Chaparal 33TSIK. Have had it since July. No major problems (slide adjustment, replace bottom seal on one slide and refrig drain connect). This is our third new 5er and it has been comparable to to the previous (2005 and 2011) units.Re: Would you buy a Silverback Rv again?I am on my second Silverback and I'm very happy with my 2011 29RL. The only concern would be the Chinese tire they put on them. I had a blow out on the curb side and did about $500 in damage. Otherwise, it is a great 5th wheel. You will love the layout.Re: AntsX2 on the Ortho Home Defense. I use it every winter while in Florida. The first year I did not use it and we had ants. Have used it every years since with no further problems.Re: Forest River Cedar Creek Silverback 29rl?I have a 2011 29rl and love it. I bought it in the fall of 2010 new. The layout is great. I pull it to Florida every year for the winter. The only real issues that I have had is a converter going bad and blowing out a China bomb right rear tire. This is my second Silverback. The first was a 2005 that we used to travel through 48 states with no big issues other than the ones I caused. If I were to buy another 5er it would be a Cedarcreek product.Re: Which is better the Montana or Cedar Creek 5th wheelI have had 2 Ceder Creek Silverbacks. The first was a 2005 in which we were in 48 states and 50000 miles. The only problem we really experienced other than normal maintenance was a bad gear in the right landing gear. The second is a 2011 Silverback 29rl. The only problem was a squeaky floor in the bedroom. Never found the problem but it has resolved itself. The only other problem was a blowout of a cheap China bomb that was on the unit from the factory. I would buy another Silverback if I were in the market for one.Re: TST MonitorsTo CumminsDriver, I have had them for four years with absolutely no regrets. Just make sure that you have metal valve stems. For the rest of this post, I do not have flow thrus but am interested in others experiences. Thanks for the op asking the original question.Re: Bought a new truck. The F350 is really high compared to earlier models of trucks. My current 5er is running high on the nose by about 3 inches. The hitch is as low as it goes and the axles are already flipped. There is about 5 inches of clearance between the bed rails and the underside of the camper. I have pulled it this way for 4 years now without a problem.Re: Can you handle it or not? Those people are nuts!!!
