New England RV parks in the fall
My husband and I and our 19' trailer will be traveling from New Mexico to see the 2016 fall colors in Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. We are thinking of using Burlington, VT, North Conway, NH and Augusta, ME as 5-day bases from which to explore each area. Does it sound reasonable to do that starting Oct 1 -15? Are there any other communities that would be better places to see the sites? It sounds like campground reservations are a must ASAP.... One of our 19' travel trailer tires is wearing unevenly and the RV repair place says we need an alignment of both axles. THis will cost about $$400-$500 so I'd like to know just how often we should have this done on a trailer. We had new beefed up axles put on the trailer about 4,000 miles ago and do not overload the trailer. We drive at 55-60mph and keep an eye on the tire pressure and lug nuts. My husband and I purchased a 2012 Keystone Premier Bulet 19' trailer this past year and have put over 3k miles on it. We love it! It is well designed with quality products. The floorplan is perfect for us and it has plenty of storage space.
