People apparently are foolish enough sign anyway. Also, if you are looking for their exclusive products like Coleman travel trailers, you are stuck dealing with them and those ridiculous fees. $16200 trailer ends up being $22,000+ by the time you add tax, license and these crazy fees!Big Fees to buy at Camping World?Has anyone else encountered what I think are excessive fees at Camping World? Looked at a new Coleman travel trailer and found out they were tacking on the following over and above the price of the trailer: Dealer fee: $495 Prep fee: $895 Transportation and Delivery fee: $2,250 Salesperson bragged that their profits were through the roof because of this new pricing policy...why would anyone be foolish enough to pay this excessive padding on a deal?Re: Sunova vs sightseer Billinwoodland wrote: So I see that winnebago makes itasca line of MHs. The sunova and sightseer look identicle to me. Is there a difference in quality between the two brands/models? No difference in quality or workmanship. The only difference between a Winnebago Industries Winnebago Sightseer and a Winnebago Industries Itasca Sunova is colors and some subtle trim differences. If they are built exactly the same and shipped to the same dealer, they will also cost the same as well.Re: oh myMike Thompson's, while not a shining beacon of customer service, is financially solid. So it is unlikely they wanted the money up front because they needed the operating capital. If you order an expensive coach and go with atypical options or colors be prepared for a dealer to want a non-refundable deposit in the amount necessary to put the coach back to a standard build if for any reason you don't take delivery. Basically if you order a pink Allegro Bus with mohair seats and solid gold fixtures, you'll have to cough up a pretty hefty deposit to get it ordered. Otherwise, any coach ordered as a standard build with conventional options and colors and no special modifications, like a cat door that leads to a kitty condo in the basement, should get by with a $5000 deposit only. Basically if you don't take it, they put it on their lot and sell it to someone else.Re: Anyone from CA ever use BOE Pub 52 Rules?Out of curiosity, how do you plan on driving it around since you won't be registering it for 12 months? Most temp tags only last 30-90 days.Re: 40' Newmar 400HP vs 370HP CumminsIf these were both 8.9L engines and in the same coach, you would be hard pressed to tell any difference. The bigger HP motor in a bigger, heavier coach may not perform as well as the smaller engine in a lighter rig. They are both very good motors and you couldn't go wrong with either choice. Way too many variables here and IMHO you would be best served buying the coach that has the floor plan that you and your wife like the best and whichever engine it comes with.....so be it. If you "settle" for living features to get a certain engine, you may be wanting to trade sooner than expected.Re: Getting Out-of-State Vehicle Smogged in California? If it is stock and passes the emissions test, you should be fine. If the previous owner installed any after market performance parts that are not CARB (California Air Resources Board) certified the coach will fail the visual inspection and not even make to the emissions portion until you replace those items with stock or CARB certified parts.Re: Misleading avertising/ignorant sales peopleI know that Four Winds/Hurricane built a model 30Q that on the Ford chassis had a GCWR that was 10,000# higher that the GVWR. 30' class A without any slides. I think they stopped building it a few years ago, but there are quite a few of them out there running around. The hitch needs to be upgraded, but the towing capacity you want is there in a nice compact unit that will be a lot cheaper than some of the other options you have mentioned.Re: Dealerships in Tampa Fl AreaIf you go to North Trail, you may want to stay away from Newmar products......ouch! Lemonade warning
