Back in 2003 when we purchased our truck camp we quickly found that it was too high for the 11' door, so after some research I found that if I swapped the roof AC unit for a low profile Polar Cub AC I could just clear my door and run my AC with a Honda EU2000 generator which as you know is a great perk!!:) So when we traded for our current class B+ camper we wanted a rig low enough to store in our existing garage. Our 2006 Trail Lite Model 251 with the Chevy 14K chassis is 10' 5" high with the standard roof AC and I have 6' 10" head room inside the living area too. Good Luck in finding the rig that meets your needs.Re: Anyone with the Chevy 6.0 Class C?I have a 2006 B+ that is 27' long bumper to bumper with the Chevy 6.0 engine. We have just over 8K miles on it now. It has the 14,050 GVWR chassis. I average 10-12 MPG @ 60-65 MPH, we just returned from Northern NY state and Central PA, very happy with the mileage for the price of the rig vs. my actual use (total miles driven each year).Re: Front Seat That Swivels Upgrade W/PicThanks again for the new pictures, this looks even better to me. I unbolted my passenger seat this morning, my base looks like your pictures but my seat is R-Vision after market seat. My bolt pattern matches your base, I have contacted the swivel base mfg. to see if my seat will swivel and clear the interior. I'm really looking forward to this mod. as this will give us additional seating with out taking any usable floor space! :BRe: Front Seat That Swivels Upgrade W/PicThank you for the pictures and the link, I have been wanting to do this ever since we bought our rig.:) How does the off set work out for you when your seat is facing forward and then rearward?Re: B+ motorhomesgerrym51 I just checked all my old Lexington 210 literature, no bed sizes in them.Re: B+ motorhomes The B+ thread can be quiet for long periods of time and then will have several posts and conversations in a few days. Other parts of the net are pretty steady. I have this thread saved so if anyone posts it will indicate when I log on and check my forums. I know my honey do list is my main objective now spring is here which minimizes my net time. We will be taking HappyJack2 on the annual MD,WV,PA,NY and home loop to see family, most we haven't seen since fall, over the Spring break. Since I keep the B+ in the backyard it is fairly easy to get ready for any trip. Now in our third year we have it down to a routine. It is great to load it up and head it out for the open road, even if we traveled much of the same route before. We will be making a loop from Maine to the Eastern Shore and then South to VA Beach to visit with family and then slowley heading back home via Hershey PA.:B As I said this will be our first camping trip with the new rig, although I drove it back from AR last December. There were no surpises with driving the new rig down the road and I'm very happy with the way it handles from driving my old truck camper set up with loads of supension mods. Hope to see you on the road someday! Have a safe trip! Ralph and ShariRe: B+ motorhomesEveryone must be busy, including me, getting ready for the first camping trip of the 2009 season! I'll be sealing some roof leaks and replacing my black water dump valve tomorrow. It's going to be our first warm 45-50 degree sunny day here...Oh Boy. I'm almost ready for our first trip May 1st!Re: B+ motorhomes This picture shows the location of the 2008 Model 251 heat register on the aft dinette seat base. This isn't my rig, but I just wanted other pre-2007 Model 251 owners to see what their missing!Re: B+ motorhomesWell I went just before noon time to Home Depot to buy a 4 1/4" hole saw, got back and after lunch I drilled the dinette side board out taking care to insert a backer between the fabric cover and the 3/8" plywood. The hole was done and I pulled the spare 4" duct through and installed the existing register from under the aft bench. I ordered a new register with a shut off damper to re-install under the bench seat and dinette table. I will keep that register closed most of the time as its really not needed where its placed under the table. This was the easest install so far only because the duct was already installed by the factory! And as a bonus I found a handfull of extra screws of various sizes under the dinette seat...Thanks Trail-Lite! Oh one more surpise under that same aft bench, thats were the optional sub woofer is installed.:ERe: B+ motorhomesNice looking pups! I was working out in my rig yesterday removing the aft dinette seat plywood in my 251. This access cover is screwed down and has seat belts that go through the plywood. Because I was running the furnace the first thing I noticed was how warm the seat custions were, and when I lifted the seat plywood I saw why! Trail-lite had run another 4" flexible duct under the seat that was not hooked up to any register, it's just heating the dinette seat box. I also noticed that Iv'e seen interior pictures of 2008 T/L 251's and they now have the additional register in the isle. So if any 251 owners that don't have the additional register in the isle want to add a heat duct, your only a 4" hole saw and a $4.00 plastic register away.;)
