It uses very little propane when running, mounts in the same opening as the old unit did (takes less space then the 6gal it replaced in fact). Not sure what some of the other posters were going on about, it’s pretty easy to set the temp as it has a digital temp control. Find the number that works for you, set it and forget it. We use 107 degrees and it’s nice to get the exact same temp shower every time. As for ventilation, it obviously needs to be vented to the outside but since it goes in the old opening you’re fine, it doesn’t require any other ventilation aside from that. The poster that mentioned water pressure was partly correct. In the years we’ve had ours we have only encountered the problem twice tho, where the water pressure at a park was so poor that the water didn’t get hot. Simply turning on our water pump to supplement the flow from the park with additional water from our tank solved the issue both times.Re: Broken Awning Brackets SouthpawHD wrote: Well a 5:00AM storm caught us off guard and the rain pooled up and caused two brackets on the right side of the awning to sheer off and snap. Called the dealer, at least $1,000 to fix more than likely. Looks like parts alone are north of $500. It's a Carefree awning. So much for being carefree ;-) I'm soooo upset because I know better, but it was early and wasn't thinking clearly. At least we were able to close it. Bringing to dealer Monday morning. I'm sure it'll take 2 weeks or more, but I'll likely use it anyways waiting for parts to arrive and an open time slot. Try some place else, that price seems very high. Especially the labor. I lost my awning earlier this year to a sudden downpour and had to have the entire unit replaced, it was a 22' carefree awning and cost me $1670 including labor to have it installed.Re: Outlets Off while Boonedocking Veebyes wrote: WOW!!:S OK, you are in the East primarily therefore much of your camping is likely to be under trees not out in a desert with the sun beating down. This makes the solar being questionable for effectiveness for $$. It does not work under trees, under cloudy skies or at night. I often wonder why folks constantly state that solar doesn't work under cloudy skies, trees, a bit of shade etc.. Does it work as well as in full sun? Obviously not, but it doesn't stop working all together. Case in point, I'm currently parked in Southern Oregon where it has been raining all day and yet my two 295W solar panels are putting 11.11A back into my battery bank as I type this. So far today in this crappy weather I have put back 46.9AH and it's only 1:30pm.Re: Remote thermostatI replaced my thermostat with a Sensi wifi thermostat and so far it's worked great. It does not require a "c" wire, it also retains control of the fan (on or auto) but you do have to figure out if you want to use the low or high fan wire unless you want to add an additional toggle switch. I love being able to have the fan on with the furnace at the same time, really helps to circulate the air. The only down side is with no "c" wire if you access it a lot via wifi it eats the "aa" batteries pretty quickly. It takes 2, so I bought a 4 pack of rechargeable double a's and just swap them out when they get down to 1 bar.
