They have yet to fall off, even the scissors.Re: Easement Clearance Issues. Isaac-1 wrote: I know some people have added helper air bags with an air compressor on the rear suspensions of their gas coaches that have low clearance for use exclusively on entering and exiting steep driveways. The advantage of the helper air bag solution is it works everywhere, getting in and out of gas stations, campgrounds, etc. Flip the in cab switch give the compressor a few seconds to pump up the air bags, drive over the hump, flip with switch off, which turns off the compressor and opens a solenoid valve to drain the air bags and be on your way. I did this on our 31' four winds, it gave me 3/4" at the rear bumper. Spent about 400. In my opinion not worth the $$. I would try the boards first.Re: replacing converter? Ended up getting one from local rv shop.Re: A little help from the PU crowd pleaseThe diesel will tow much better. As you mentioned the def... That is the most negligible cost. The extra 2 tires of the drw will cost you much more.Re: Painting vent cover?Painted tube outside of mine with flat black. Masked off surrounding roof and 3 min later... Done. Lasted over 2 years before recoat was needed. The winter cover rubbed off a line on the top of the vent. Next time I would use a medium blue to give the illusion of sunny day when waking up.Re: 4 wheel driveTwo folks I have camped with both USED to own 2wd. I rarely use mine, but I have it. As mentioned, it helps with slippery situations. When I most use mine is on gravel roads. I feel it is easier on my truck. From a towing standpoint it adds a bit of weight to the front of TV. That does subtract from the cargo carrying capacity somewhat though, but if you are that close then my feeling is you are already there. From a dealer standpoint, that's what sells. And they are right with resale points also.Re: 4 wheel driveTwo folks I have camped with both USED to own 2wd. I rarely use mine, but I have it. As mentioned, it helps with slippery situations. I had to schooch the propane tanks forward a couple inches, but am able to get the genset up there. I also reworked the wheels on the genset to be narrower by 3". I get it up and down by a ramp so I do t have to lift. As far as vibrations, Its not that bad. If I'm set up for a few days and running a lot its easy enough to pull down.Re: Coach battery shut off solenoidI also had one go back on our four winds. I replaced with a simple battery dc. I also went to the intelli power lower unit on both the class c and the tt we are in now. AWESOME. If you end up shopping ebay or amazon for your new converter make sure they are an intelli power dealer, otherwise your product isn't supported by manufacturers.Re: Where do you put the big cabelas recline chairs CR CRUISER wrote: All my loungers and deck chairs ride in the bath tub.
