Many awnings come open on the road because people don’t know those arms have a locking notch at the top and think it is just the roller tension holding it from deploying….Once you get your routine you will find it quite simple to do.Re: Apple car play or XM radioXM for years both truck & camper. Fix?I can see in pic of inside door that the inner fiberglass skin is out of the door frame and that is what is causing your binding. Use a thin blade putty knife to work that skin back into the frame. I had that same thing happen on a 2002 BF camper. It was caused from using bungy on lower part of door to hold door open against the upper door stop on back of camper. This twists the door and pulls the inner fiberglass door skin out of the frame.Re: Vancouver IslandFrom Parksville on Van Isle... wishing you and your British bride a Happy New Year and many more to come!....sorry you will not be travelling far from home anymore....we are getting close to your age and have spent 14 years of travelling south in the winters, until 2020 when this Covid stuff came along....losing travel time now when we don't have many years left to travel, so we feel your pain.Re: Not solar again ?If you mount the controller with the truck, then the truck is just a "solar suitcase' basically. My solar suitcase with controller connects to my batteries when I want it, and when I disconnect no harm comes to the controller. If you are going to be switching between 3 different trailers then using your truck like a solar suitcase would make more sense to me. Some solar suitcases are using 20' of cable from controller to batteries.Re: Where to mount a TV?My previous 2002 BF 9.6 had the same dinette and tv cabinet as your BF 10.6. I never changed any wiring in the tv cabinet, just plugged in connectors for coax & power. Ran cables rearward thru overhead cabinets then installed an elec & coax outlet bottom side of overhead cabinets at shower wall. Beefed up rear dinette shower wall with 1/2" plywood and mounted tv there. Could watch tv from front seat of dinette or see from bed.Re: Safety Chains Binding Between Hitch Head & Trunnion BarsPicture won't post??….on edit: thank you moderator for posting my photo. Re: Safety Chains Binding Between Hitch Head & Trunnion BarsTrailer manufacturer have attached those break away chains way-y-y too far forward on the trailer, that is the problem. Have new attachment points put on just in front of the anti sway stabilizers.Re: What is your overall length with TC?Exactly 24 ft long as per regular BC Ferries measurements…. GMC 3500 long box double cab dually with 10.4 Bigfoot camper.Re: Almost lost the microwave while driving.Easy fix I have done to 3 different rigs over the years that should have been done on installation. I screwed a 1/4” thick board on top of support boards with holes drilled thru in appropriate position and size for rubber feet on bottom of m/w to fit into. Then screw down a front to back board at each end of support boards and attach a poly strap side to side overtop the m/w and screw down to these boards.
