If you have a genset, the other option is to install an AGS (Automatic Generator Start). I know saying not to leave your pets unattended like a lot of campgrounds state in their rules will just get a bunch of angry replies. What happens if the generator starts when it isn't generator time? Or is it just screw the others as long as your stuff is taken care of?Re: Small inverter w/ remote off/onI have a 600 Watt inverter that has a remote, but the remote is wired not wireless. InverterRe: Rremoval of MegaBackup and MacKeeper from MacI use the AppCleaner app to remove programs.Re: recharge from engine storm stayed in Grand ForksThe second battery is use on diesels, I have two batteries in my 2008 2500HD, Duramax.Re: Truck bed mat with 5th wheel hitchI also cut a mat to fit around the hitch rails with my first truck. I also had a second mat to put over that one when the hitch was out so no issues at all with cargo catching on the rails.Re: Internet wa8yxm wrote: Ok, who provides your SUBSCRIPTION TV? If you are with DirecTV or DirecHDTV then you can get an AT&T cell phone with unlmited data. T-Mobile also has an "unlimited" plan (In fact their only plan now) but it is like most "unlimited" plans. Throttled if you go over your allotment, they do, however, make that hard to do. The AT&T site also says they may throttle your speed after 22GB.Re: Furnace Lighting Question ScottG wrote: Often times the flame sensor is so covered in soot that it's insulated enough to not work. I have repaired four of them by using carburetor cleaner or a small brass brush. Just put a rag under it to catch the excess cleaner if you go that route. I would be concerned of my flame sensor was covered in soot. Furnace not burning properly.Re: Purchased Verizon unlimited data plan KBOnTheRoad wrote: jesseannie wrote: Verizon has an XXL Data Plan that is actually unlimited. First it is 24GB at 4G It allows carry-over of unused data. THEN it has a "safety mode" of additional data if you go over 24G but it is only at 3G at no charge. When we are on the road we often only have 3G so this is not much of an inconvenience. Sounds like a good deal to me. jesseannie If they throttle back your data speed to 3g after a certain amount that by definition is a restriction or a "limitation" thus your plan is NOT unlimited. Also on a truly "unlimited" Plan there would be no "Carry Over" of "Unused" data as unused implies a limit. Please understand I am not criticizing you or your decision I am only pointing out that this is a really heinous play on words by Verizon that has made the term "Unlimited" virtually meaningless. I am not sure where you are traveling or what phone you are using but I almost always get a 4GLTE signal on Verizons network. I would be interested in what they are charging for this plan. I think it is the same at AT&T. watching their commercials for unlimited data if you have AT&T and Directv, but in the smaller print on the screen it limits speed after 22GB. I am guessing that if we looked at all the providers claiming unlimited data it will be the same.Re: dvr or standard receiver?I take my DVR as both receivers are DVRs. I can find stuff to do while the receiver boots up and we can watch our recorded stuff if there is nothing on. At home all my equipment is powered through battery backups because we seem to have lots of power outages that last just long enough for the Directv equipment to reboot.Re: Good Free Virus Scan For Older User powderman426 wrote: wildtoad wrote: Do your mom a favor and give her an IPad. Very few updates, no viruses, and it just works. I have pc's, iPads, and there is no comparison in ease of use. While Apple makes nice devices, they are always in the pay me mode, which is how they got so rich. For someone who doesn't understand that clicking things have ramifications, I think the Amazon fire tablet is better. Cheap and easy to operate. ;) What do you mean by "they are always in the pay me mode"? I don't need much for antivirus and all my software updates have been free.
