They will be able to help with any questions you have about your Lance, and help you spend more money on modifications.Re: new RV purchase adviceYou can buy your own brake controller online. I have a Prodigy, ($100-$150) you have to buy a separate wiring adapter ($20) for your specific vehicle. They are plug and play. Once plugged in you have to follow the directions to set sensitivity. I believe you need a 7 way plug in for brakes to work. I have used U-haul before and they were very knowledgeable about brake connections.Re: Lance vs Arctic foxI have a 2017 Lance 1985, so far so good. I would only look at 2017 1/2 year models, thats when they switched to a heavier frame. I would also get a lift kit if going on BLM areas. My tanks are 45, fresh, gray, and black. The larger 2285 model has 45,90 gray, and 45 black. You can go to Lance Owners of America (LOA) site for specific questions.Re: new RV purchase adviceI have a 2017 Lance 1985 and am very happy with weight, towing and quality. I would recommend looking on RV trader. FYI, Lance has a new heavier frame from 2017 1/2 forward. They are lighter weight but tongue heavy.Re: Front glass window protectionI have a Lance and made my own cover out of Lexan (polycarbonite), and the other option is to call Autoweave out of Denver,tel303) 288-6222, they make covers for Lances. Others have said why? Insurance against breaks. Yes, the glass is safety glass, but I don’t want to have to spend $7-$800 to fix it, and then let it sit at the RV place to be fixed for a month or two. Hope this helps.
