The camper manual is a huge file, if it doesn't come across, let me know and I'll break the PDF into smaller bytes. Have fun. Looks like it rides level when on the truck.Re: voltage meter for inside camperI went with a simple voltmeter from Mouser, just voltage of the battery is shown, it'll bounce around as the load on the battery changes, and will give you an idea of the condition of the battery when most of the loads are removed. Most of the other functions given by others is interesting, but since I am not doing battery research the current draw and remaining capacity readings are just icing on the cake. KISSRe: Help or manual for 2003 sun-lite 690STD cab over camperI have the Sunlite Apache 6.9 camper, same as the Sunlite, except it is an entry model. The manual I received is for all Sunlite campers, operation of the heater, stove, refrig are covered. I also have the brochure for Sunlite, if you want I can copy it into a PDF and e-mail it to you. my camper fits on a Dakota with helper springs. A battery is needed unless you have a larger battery bank in the truck. I wouldn't run it on the truck battery alone, you may have a wee bit of trouble starting the engine after a long stay. My refrig is 3-way, propane, 12vdc (not recommended - HIGH current draw), and 117vac. Everything else in the camper is set up for 12vdc. The outlets are 117vac and if you are camping away from power, a generator would be a good idea. For cold weather camping, I have a small electric heater to help the propane heater. If you have "shore" power, it will save on propane. [img] [/img]Re: Truck Camper Warehouse thedavidzoo wrote: There are NH 2 state parks in the area we stayed at: Mt. Ascutney State Park (not really impressed) just north and Ft Dummer (much nicer and renovated) really close. There are a few more that are within a reasonable drive. Season is over though. Both of these State Parks are in Vermont. Vermont state parks tend to be a little rustic and lack the creature comforts "needed" by large RVs. They are fairly quiet and good for a pleasant stay for self-equipped RVs.Re: is 2500 +/- each way road trip pratical in 10 days?Every two years we head down to Dallas from Connecticut, wife always wants to make it in 3 days or less. Of course, she's resting while I drive. When I get there, all I want to do for the next 24 hours is rest/sleep and stretch my legs to get rid of the aches. I'd rather take the extra time and enjoy the scenery (and have the wife drive if she is so impatient to see the kids). Plan on extra time looking for gas stations that are open in the wee hours of the night.Re: Spring is hereRobins were out and about last week in central Connecticut, however they must have found a warmer spot this weekend with the temperatures going down below -10F(-23C). Chickadees have taken over their spots for the weekend. We have a family of swans in a pond near my work, they vacated for warmer waters too. Darn groundhogs - so unreliable when it comes to weather.Re: DIY AwningI like the idea, will think about having one for the rear of the camper. Thanks for sharing.Re: Why do you apply Luan on to filon? The plastic panels at Home Depot/Lowes are pebble finish, fiberglas reinforced polyester. They are waterproof, but I would hesitate on using them on exterior walls since they may not have UV inhibitors in the resin. Also they are not recommended for ceiling panels (I couldn't see a good reason for that). If you want to use them, add a bit of UV blocker to the resin overcoat to prevent chalking or breaking down in sunlight.Re: My Method of Loading Camper in TruckI use the tape method on loading my camper - easier for me than the mirrors or other devices. Cheap Too!
