Black Tank Problems
Hi, On the road boon docking right now. Emptied black tank before leaving. Indicator is working correctly, but there appears to be a large clump of paper visible when you look down into the toilet. Since we're on the road - is there anything I can do? Would pouring some boiling water into the toilet help? We're inside of an even and don't have dumpling facilities. OK - who we’re currently camping at an RV lot. Have a 6 gal propane only Atwood water heater. Serviced and Thermocupler replaced last fall. The only way I can get the water heater to stay on is to use my onboard fresh water with the water pump, and turn one of the inside faucets to a trickle. Any other way - no trickle, on city water with trickle, the water heater clicks, goes on, shuts off after 5 seconds, repeats this cycle 2 more times and doesn’t work. One other thing to consider is the breath and depth of the repair support system. I realized very soon that if I am wanting another dealer (other than the one who sold me the unit) to service it under warranty - they wouldn't. There's no such thing as bringing your Chevy into a Chevy dealer. The seating of the connections might be the trick. I went out about an hour ago, unplugged a few of the switches, blew on them, cleaned them with a rag, unplugged the thermostat coil, plugged it in. Turned on the unit - fire up, click, click, click, then stopped with the light next to the switch. Said F-it - came in to check this forum, had dinner, went out a little while ago - working to perfection. Water is very hot, system was waiting for a drop in temp - then re-cycled on to reheat new water. Going to go on the trip - and if the thing doesn't work will get a $29 hotel for showers (we're boon-docking so it's less than a hook-up anyway). I just do not get it! I have been screwing with this thing for a week - and I give up - leave it on, and the water is steaming hot - with the unit in pause waiting for a signal to heat more water. Geezus - I'm going to try the trip (worst thing is we have to get a rot-gut $39 hotel room to shower - and get it checked out when we get back.252Views0likes0Comments
