Or they want to cherry pick the easiest stuff. yupRe: brake line replacementPut in a new brake line. Reroute it as needed with new brackets. If you can't remove the old brake line, cut off what you can. Won't hurt anything. Very easy job.Re: Off Roading With 1990 Xplorer ~ Any Experience With This?Blocks in rear, new longer springs up front. You'll probably need to cut your fenders for any significant increase in tire size. After jumping through hoops and $, you'll gain a minor amount of clearance under your differential and the ass-end will likely drag on steeps (although a airbag kit maxed out will help). Aside form the comments/suggestions above, your best bet is aggressive tires, take it slowwww, a second pair of eyes over sketchy terrain, and governor on your willingness to stubbornly forge ahead.Re: 1999 dodge xplorer ac question need quick help pleaseThose rear window type AC units are often hard wired (plug cut off) directly to the breaker panel. The breaker panel is often near the floor by the bed (in the rear galley if its a twin bed setup).Re: Something drawing on my batteryThe isolator is not part of the factory chassis (vehicle). Its an add on by the RV maker. They're also use in marine applications. etc. Wiki and Gooogle are your friendsRe: Something drawing on my batteryIf your house/coach battery is hooked up to the alternator to charge while driving, the isolator (hopefully there is one) between the two could be malfunctioning, therefore not isolating any drain coming from the house battery. Batteries will try to equalize. I doubt your house/coach battery disconnect seperates this connection. I wouldn't want to use a battery disconnect swich on the engine battery. Aside from losing radio presets/disabling remote unlock/etc, the car's computer (ECU) has to relearn your driving habits, etc every time you reconnect which in turn will give you poor performance/mpg/etc for a bit. Simplified guide for tracking down parasitic drain. Anyway, with a new battery you may find your issue resolved.Re: Yakima chainstrap alternativeI've read of some folks using heavy duty foam twist tie things they sold under by a variety of names and sizes.Re: Where to find parts for older Dodge XplorersFor a new holding tank, you'll need measuremetns. Then just google "holding tank rv" and find something that fits. If you currently have a tank and it is broken it might be able to be fixed if you're up to it.Re: Where to find parts for older Dodge XplorersLooks like for Dodge '77 (B100, B200, B300), CR4C is a replacement OEM tank. I doubt Xplorer modified the gas tank. I suppose you could pull the one you got now and see if it looks the same. BTW, you need to determine your base model (B100, B200, B300) and seperate out Vehicle parts (in this case the gas tank) from RV parts added/modified later to the base model by Xplorer (holding tank). For vehicle parts, a good place to start is rockauto.com. Even if you don't buy from there, they're pretty good for looking up part numbers.Re: Spun Armature Bearing?
