I pull it with 2010 diesel Silverado and love the whole setup...things I like.. Large water and holding tank capacities Sliders that appear more insulated to match whole rig Fit and finish...although not luxurious, very comfortable Tow ability Still holding together well Cable slides...lighter Compliments...... Good luck with the search.Re: Are we Nuts? Travel cross country in 7 days?I say go for it! Keep a diary, turn it into a story and make a movie, RV 2 !Re: Another reason NOT to use the "Water Thief"I Agree with dodo and want to thank Desert Captain for the post. Park service is what I am a bit frustrated with. When you camp in same campground for 10 years and you are used to rolling up there with empty tanks to save mileage (campground is about 20 miles fro services and100 miles fro home) and make a discovery like that it can lead to teeth gnashing. Thank goodness for the forewarning for me, just worried a bit about snowbirds Rollin in.Re: Another reason NOT to use the "Water Thief"Many thanks Captain. Strange that after 10 years this cross contamination suddenly occurs, particularly when the campgrounds have been used so lightly. During. The summer and the lake has been much lower than this. I agree with other posters, that an explanation of the "why" would certainly help. At any rate, I'll still head up We'd and see if any of those scarce bass are hungry.Re: Another reason NOT to use the "Water Thief"Question for the Desert Captain since I also camp often at Windy Hill (in fact, going Wed). How do you plan on getting your water there? Hauling it from Tucson (like I would have to), waiting to begin your trip until Sat or Sun when the fill station in Cholla might be open, or an alternate suggestion? If the fill station is like the dump station at Cholla it is a bit hit and miss if forest service sticks to schedule.Re: Need brakes on boat trailer?Lots of feedback and I appreciate it. Of course feedback on what works is always the most valuable. Think Ill head towards the electric brake idea. Thanks everybody.Need brakes on boat trailer?Been double towing a 16' boat a number of years, but have upgraded to a larger 19'er. Plan to continue doubling (only way to go if you like camping and fishing). My question is, how many of you have brakes on the boat trailer? Are they necessary or is your tv and 5th wheel brakes providing enough stopping power? I'd like to hear pros and cons.
