These hydraulic jacks are very strong, My four rear jacks are 4000lb capable each and the front 2 are rated at 6000lb. That's a total of 28000lbs of capability. When we are set up that way the only time we may feel some motion when in our rig is when the washer is spinning. ah but I'm sure somebody will chime in and say you can't put that much weight on those jacks.Re: Satellite Newbie looking for advicedirectv starting messing with the DNS locals. Fulltimers like us were really effected. We switched to Dish last spring.Re: New tires for my 16K fifth wheelSailun!Re: Stabilizing 5er for long term laknox wrote: I did forget to mention to NOT use jack stands under the slide(s). Should you have any settling or shifting, you could damage the slide if its not free to move. I can't figure out why they still sell them. Agree 100 per cent! Was at an over night stop and the guy next to us had slide Jack's on his toy hauler. ONE tire lost air over night and the bottom of the large slide was pulled out. Expensive lesson I would say. Lyle Re: Resi Fridge draining batteries, please help.Welcome. We have a residential refer also, 2 group 27 batteries wired in parallel and we have gone for over 24 hours with no problems. Are your batteries fully charged? Is the refer the only draw on those batteries when boondocking?Re: New 5th wheel doesn't tow well memtb wrote: IBcarguy, The previous posters are correct about a 5th wheel exhibiting a "jerking" feel when towed. I may be way off here, but something to consider, and many will debate the issue of 5th wheels converted to gooseneck. You may be getting "flex" in the front of the 5th wheel frame. That flex may be multiplying the "jerking" that you feel. There are considerable engineering differences between 5th wheels and gooseneck trailers. The gooseneck trailer is constructed of heavier materials and is heavily gusseted at weld points. When an adapter is added to a 5th wheel pin assembly, the force or leverage to the front of the 5th wheel is greatly multiplied. Most 5th wheel manufacturers will cancel/void their warranty when converted to gooseneck! Again, this may not be the case, but something to consider! memtb X2 and Amen!Re: Lube Plate attuco wrote: I use the 12 inch. Install it, trim if necessary. I also countersink a screw ans drill and tap the box to keep the lube plate from turning. I believe the entire reason for having a "lube" plate was to reduce friction. It needs to be able to turn to accomplish this.Re: RV Furniture zackyboy3rs wrote: Where could I find & buy RV sofa/bed? I like the stuff Open Range uses in their campers. My dad has a sofa bed that really sleeps good. Remember that you don't really have to have "RV" furniture. Regular furniture stores may have what you want.Re: DIRECTV DNS serviceDurn it! Thanks for the info folks.DIRECTV DNS serviceFor those of you who have Distant Network Service (DNS) with Directv have you had a problem with changing from New York service to Los Angeles service or vice versa when changing time zones? We are heading west and wanted to change from NY to LA but was told by a Directv rep that it can't be done. We were told when we bought the service that we could change. Anybody else had this problem? Thanks
