Had a small issue with tent end door leak but jayco was excellent to deal with in resolving the problem. We had no other issues. Have no info on the Kodiak other than some negative feedback on here about Thor and their warranty support. We did make the drive to get the unit/options we wanted and had no regrets. ^^^ Ditto! Bought a used Jayco and they have been very pleasant to work with. Drove 6 hours to get mine. If you are set on a certain camper, don't let some miles stop you. You will have the camper for years to come and it will be worth it everytime you camp! I have no history with Kodiak, but I am more than pleased with Jayco.Re: Trip Planning: The Perfect Family Trip 2016!Looks like an awesome trip! No darts, but a few thoughts. For me, I would tweek a bit, as I am not as fond of the Black Hills area as I am w/ Glacier,Yellowstone and GTNP. So, I would add a few days to GT, and a few days to each side of Glacier. I am with 4runnerguy as far as liking the East side best, but both are wonderful.Re: Colter Bay RV Park mapWell thanks all, but still no map?? I had one from when I was there 5 years ago and wanted to use it to request a a few sites. I know about where they are, just need the map for the numbers.Colter Bay RV Park mapI cant find my copy and have searched online with no luck. Does anyone have a copy or know a link to a map showing the site numbers at the Colter Bay RV Park?? Thanks!Re: Travelling with the U dinnette 'down' 3LittleDucks wrote: Looks great! Thanks for the pics. :) Thank you, and you are welcome. I have been gone for a bit, but I sure do love this site!Re: Travelling with the U dinnette 'down' The supports are screwed thru to the inside of the dinette where I also have a 1x3 backer. There is also a brace added that goes to the outside wall. This serves as a support for the seat cushion area as well as provides rigidity so the dinette flange cannot flex when weight is applied. Be sure to put a backing plate on the outside wall behind the brace. Jayco tables have an aluminum v brace for strength running the length of the table, actually 2 of them. A notch in the pvc will keep the support in place. This shows one in place and a better view of the support. I like to beef things up so they last. Did the same thing to our Sunridge pop up and she lasted and still looked new when we sold it to get the HTT. If you need more info just ask!!Happy to help.Re: Travelling with the U dinnette 'down'Oh, forgot to answer orig post question....Yes, we always travel with the dinette in stowed position.Re: Travelling with the U dinnette 'down'PVC supports are a great way to keep your table from bending when used as a bed. First mod if you want the table top to last. I also like to reinforce the horizontal end braces with vertical braces. You are right that the supports are awfully narrow. My son is over 200lbs and always sleeps on the dinette bed so want to be sure she holds up for years! On our Jayco they do not use Velcro, but they do have a rubber bumper stop on each side that holds the bed from sliding out. You can see them on the right end of the support. Re: Grand Teton Park, Moran, WY+34 or whatever we are at on Colter Bay!!! Been our family favorite since 1972 when we stopped there for a nite on the way home from Alaska. Ended up staying longer because we loved it so much, and have been returning whenever possible!Re: ~Post your campsite photos here~Awesome shots, as usual, Euro!! Thanks for postin!
