The Power Management system works fine for all other loads and will shutdown devices as needed. For some reason the dryer doesn't play as nice and will pop the pedestal breaker a lot of the time. I haven't looked into the why i just live with it, not a big deal. Especially since we seldom run all 3. Unlike the DRV above all three are on separate thermostats.Re: New Truck to Pull a Landmark??I pull my Landmark Newport with a 16 Ram. Pulls and handles the load just fine. I have bags on the truck but they were added for my Lance camper I don't add any air for the Landmark. I suspect the 450 non-CC version will squat more (I owned a 2015 450, tongue weight is over 4k) based on how it handled my camper (5k lbs) vs the Ram. I never towed the Landmark with the 450 as it wouldn't stay out of the shop long enough to make it to make it a good tow vehicle for me. Towed like a bull but couldn't keep it on the road. The Landmark was bought after I swapped tow vehicles.Re: California adds 12 cent gas tax and 20 cent diesel tax dodge guy wrote: Except they already had tax for that and it got used elsewhere. now they have a new tax that will end up doing the same thing. how many times do they think the citizens of the state are going to fall for that?! Well if history serves, every time!Re: Pickin up the new one Friday!!Congrats, Keystone did me right when they stepped up and paid to repair frame flex on a 3 year old rig. Sure meant something to me and left a lasting impression. Not enough to sway the wife from buying the Landmark but they did stay on the option block until she saw the LM.Re: Cedar Creek - Landmark 365 - or Big HornLM vs BH came down to cargo capacity. We liked them both but obviously the LM had more lipstick which won the wife over. As I recall there was about 1k lb difference in carrying capacity between the two. That goes pretty quick when full time. Been mostly happy. Will be happier when the shake down bugs are gone. Service was great to work with so far. Called and ordered the parts so they are ready when we take it in for service. Our choice of service center just needed pre-approval. We purchased in Indiana would love to go back there for service but not going to happen this time of year.Re: New Big Horn 3875FBLM and BH are manufactured on the same line. The two items I missed in my PDI: 1. Calking, very poorly done. The side strip between the lower wall and upper wall had cracked caulking which caused the metal screws to rust and snap. Unit goes in next month and all caulking will be checked and redone (on their dime or mine, but it will be redone) along with the required fix. 2. Slide alignment, both rear slides on either side are miss-aligned this caused the fascia to pop off around the entertainment center. One side doesn't even close tight to the weather stip. So close the slides and stick your fingers in around the slide and look for gaps. I made sure the slides worked during PDI not that they were aligned, who knew. edit couple more things: 3. Convenience center. Pull the wall and make sure you don't have leaks behind the center, leave the water pressure on for as long as possible. We had 3 bad connections. They repaired one during PDI. The other two I did later. 4. BAL spare tire carrier, triple check this. The drivers side part that connects to the frame came out and disappeared on i90 within 1000 miles dragging the carrier and tire under the rig for some time. Nothing damaged but the carrier thankfully.Re: Montana, Big Country, or Grand Design? We were just looking at the BC and Montana in those models. I was very close to pulling the trigger with my preference going to the BC. in then end I chose neither as the BC didn't have the cargo capacity I was looking for plus It is one long rig. My preference went to the BC after sitting for a while in each rig's living area. The Montana just felt cramped with the island protruding into the living area. I felt really uncomfortable. Had the BC weight limit aliowed for more than 1700lb I would have dealt with the extra few feet and had me one sweet little office.Re: Ford 6.7L Powerstroke V8 DieselLate to the party but I'll offer my opinion just the same. I owned a 2015 for 17k miles. If you get a good one it's a fantastic engine and truck. Pulls hard, unloaded foot to pedal response is excellent, breaks great, stable as a goat. Now if you get a bad one like I did, it's will bleed you dry or waste a ton of your time getting towed to the shop between the good experiences (or both as was my experience). I dumped mine at a big loss to get back on the road and stay on the road. Miss it every time I tow. Don't miss it every time I actually want to make it to my destination.Re: Generator runtime compared to inverter run time.In addition to the fridge, not sure if you have one but, my electric fireplace sucks up a ton of juice if it's on remote control mode. Just having it in that mode even if off will suck my batteries dry in a few hours (well a bit longer but it's the biggest pig if I turn all other obvious 110 systems off).Re: San Diego to Ensenada, Mexico and points south 4X4Dodger wrote: davidaf wrote: moisheh wrote: David af: Your satire sucks. Haven't smoked weed since I was 15, so I can't blame it on that. Just my lack of creativity or poor writing skills I suppose. Safe travels. Your satire was great and immediately identifiable as such. Unfortunately such attempts at communicating in more interesting ways on this forum are often not appreciated... TX, I had more fun typing it than simply stating facts. Taking jabs on the Interweb doesn't bother me in the the least I'm way too secure in my skin to care.
