That is an impressive rig all around.Re: Coachman Nova karlstream wrote: I don't know what the out the door price is for the Coachman, but if you are looking for a rear bath, you might check out a used Leisure Travel Free Spirit SS model with the slide. They made them from 2013 to 2015 and there are usually a couple of them listed on RV Trader. ... I agree this may be a better choice as far as rig quality. Although LTV no longer makes any Class B vehicles, most of their better dealers will still work on them... and Triple E/LTV are helpful people. Thor now owns Coachman and their reputation for quality and warranty backup is one of the worst. But I do prefer the Promaster to the Sprinter, and the LTV also has a slide... another pro or con depending on people's preferences.Re: 2019 Roadtrek Zion somertime wrote: We found just the camper van we want but worried about the year of it. It’s a 2019 Roadtrek Zion. That is when it closed and then bought out by a different company. I understand the new company had to finish making the van that year and had possible electric problems. Should we keep looking or are we ok to buy this 2019 camper van? Thank you for any help here. I owned a 2019 Simplicity on a 2018 Promaster and Hymer bankrupted the company less than 5 months after I bought. I only had one warranty issue and it was taken care of by the supplier of the part and the labor was covered by Rapido - the new buyers good will short term limited warranty for those of us who lost our original coverage. So... I lost nothing. The main reason I had no issues was that I had the simple traditional systems... suburban hot water heater... and AGM batteries. Your first question is which electrical system does it have? It could have either a large AGM (Northstar 182 ah) or the so called Eco Trek system with lithiums. The original owner of this 2019 very likely had done the numerous fixes that were needed... may even have replaced the lithium series. Every new series has been a bit better than the previous. That is what you need to know before purchase... which battery system... and what was done to upgrade if it is lithium.Re: Steering wheel positioning on a Class BIt is odd to most of us... that said, it didn't take any time to get used to it. But then, my 2 Promasters have been my only vehicle, so no switching back and forth. From what I have seen, it is mostly men that are all that bothered by it. Not sure if a tilting wheel is included in all the updates to the 2022 models.Re: Where is EVERYONE?? pasusan wrote: I guess I could've posted when I installed a couple of hooks to hang hats, shirts, etc. I could've taken some pictures and talked about it. Wasn't that exciting... Thanks for the giggle. Lots of that on FB which is much of the appeal of the format for the new people.Re: Where is EVERYONE?? gemsworld wrote: I-Can-Am-Can-You wrote: There’s also a problem with every new poster being attacked and told ‘use the search function’. This site is most unwelcoming. Probably the number one reason why this forum has been in its slow-death bed for a long time. I haven't seen much of that on this branch of the forum. I would say the number one reason is Facebook. You can find a group for nearly every model of class B. There will be dozens of owners with a rig exactly like yours... and probably with the same issues. This has been especially helpful for owners of Hymer/Roadtrek models and the growing pains of their unusual electrical systems. On a forum, you tend to have owners of multiple brands and systems... and half of the answers will not be relevant and are just confusing... especially with all the total newbies buying Class B's. But generally speaking the Facebook system is a total pain in the backside to use because the same problems come up over and over, but last week's answers drift down the page quickly. There is a search option, but it is substandard. (I would estimate that for three years twice a week we had to explain how to correct the wiring error of Norcold on their fridges... speaking of companies with no quality control) Sad to see the forum system die... but not much we can do to stop it.Re: New class B Davydd wrote: I'm confused what Dodge/RAM truck has a front wheel drive train? Not the pickup trucks. Is it juar a relabeling of the Fiat drive train like MB Sprinters being relabeled as Dodges for awhile? The Promaster which is pretty much the most popular RV platform in the US right now... has front wheel drive. In Europe it is the Fiat Ducato. When MB bailed out of Dodge/Chrysler and sold it to Fiat, the Ram van division adopted the Ducato. Took the front wheel drive and inserted the Ram truck engine and drive train. I've had two of them and love the way they drive.Re: New class B Gjac wrote: I wonder if it is built like a C or like a B where the work has to be done inside the van body. $145k is a lot for that size MH. I don't know why someone has not made a one piece or two piece shell and just add the shell after the interior is finished. They should be able to get the price down to $100k like a small C. It's definitely a Class C with the formed body. I believe that it is a one piece shell. I read that in one of the articles though accuracy may not be high in these intro articles.Re: New class B bobndot wrote: Google 'Wingamm Oasi 540 price' https://www.businessinsider.com/popular-european-camper-van-rv-coming-to-the-us-2021-7 That article may have answered my question in that it said that the first year or two will be built in Italy. So it will be on the European platform. Once they switch to Promaster, they will need to re-work it to the US sizes since we don't have a 17'9" with 118 wb. I also noted that it has a 3 system fridge. Ugh!! That added to a cassette toilet and no AC is going to limit its sales I expect. They brag about their long waiting list, but those are all people who haven't actually seen it yet. lol I still wonder what adjustments they have to make to the van to get it approved in the US.
