Cant deal with the standard smell of pine sol so we use the lemon one. Bonus is that it keeps the gaskets on the gates from drying out and failing. Been using it for several months and must say that it works great. We also use it for gleaning the sink and bowl. Use a clean, empty one-gallon plastic jug or bottle Measure 40 ounces of Pine-Sol (or similar pine oil cleaner) into the jug or bottle Add four ounces of Calgon bath powder, liquid, or bath beads to the jug or bottle Slowly add water to the jug or bottle. The contents will foam, so be patient. The lemon doesn't foam like the regular pine sol. Put the cap on the jug or bottle and shake Every time you’ve emptied your holding tanks, add 1/2 cup of this solution (to both tanks) What’s this solution do? Remember, your holding tanks are not a septic system. You do not want anything breaking down in them. The key ingredient here is the Calgon. It’s a surfacant, breaking down the surface tension of water or liquid in the tank and making the tank’s surfaces slippery. It will help waste from sticking to the inside of the tank. The Pine-Sol is a strong disinfectant and has an odor-masking quality. Note that you can use other brands of pine oil cleaner than Pine-Sol. Follow this recipe and you can make a gallon of tank solution for little $ That’s 50 tank treatments!Re: My KZ Sportsmen Classic 200 Mods.TV mount. Had a mount specifically for rv's but it was not good and failed after just a couple of years. Wanted it to tilt and swivel so we could watch in bed or in the main area. It needed to swing out past the cabinets. It is highly adjustable and locks in place with a heavy duty velcro strap. Bed view Main area view The mount Re: Running lights on when camping, use a fuse & dimmer? doxiemom11 wrote: The newer blue light are awful. Have seen them on a few trailers - please don't do that. Naw....don't care for that neon actinic blue either. We do however like the light aqua ocean blue color though. I have RGB stips below the awning and about 6 feet under the rv with some of that 6' strip lighting up the stairs.Re: Running lights on when camping, use a fuse & dimmer? However if any of the LED use active current limiting like a switching regulator could be damaged or malfunction if used with a dimmer. Long and short of it, if any of the LED bulbs have a circuit board with "chips" they're not going to dim well if at all. My marker lights are fine but the tail lights have active circuitry to manage the LED brightness, switching between running light and brake light modes. Thank you... appreciate it.Re: Running lights on when camping, use a fuse & dimmer? rjniles wrote: I use this dimmer for LEDs. Going to use This and maybe mount it in ThisRe: Running lights on when camping, use a fuse & dimmer?I wasn't talking about signaling lights for a landing strip. Hence the dimmer and they would go off when the grandkids come in. We'll before lights out time We do glamping now and really wouldn't be any different than other campers and thier outdoor LED exterior lights.Re: Running lights on when camping, use a fuse & dimmer? gbopp wrote: Forget about the dimmer, install a flasher :B Ahhh! If you're on LED it may or may not depending on the design of the LED bulbs. I do have tricked out leds. Seems as though I just have to give it a try.Running lights on when camping, use a fuse & dimmer?I really like the trick where you use a fuse on the plug to light up the running lights while camping. However think I would want to tone it down a bit. Any reason why a dimmer in line with the fuse would not work?Re: Overkill Fridge Fan GordonThree wrote: A while back in another thread I mentioned buying two 3000 RPM 24 volt industrial fans for using to power vent my fridge on very hot days, to help improve efficiency. I finally got around to installing them. I went with two Noctua iPPC 24v 3000RPM units, IP67 rated. They support pwm speed control but I'm currently not using that feature. The fans are installed using silicone pegs? on a piece of aluminum angle stock. I re-used two mounting screws that hold the factory air damper in place. The fans connect to a piece of 18ga cable which runs down to the bottom of the vent, where it's connected to a 12-24v boost converter and remote switch that is tapped into the fridge 12v supply. I became overwhelmed by mosquito as I was installing the remote switch and didn't grab a picture. I'll try again shortly. The remote switch toggles on when ambient is above 85F and off at 82F, probably lower than it needs to be but 90-100 degree days are very rare in these parts. Nice job. :C Love it. Can't get any better than noctua fans. Super quite! Those are on the bottom? If so it could be a much better setup. As the heat rises the fans will be fighting to pull air down. If they are on the bottom may I make a suggestion??? Put one in the bottom pointing up at the fins/coils/condenser and the other in the top vent pulling out. It will be waayyy more effective.
