We purchased our 2016 Prime Time Sanibel after a year of research and deciding which model to buy. We gave our dealership 6 weeks to go thru and make sure all was good and no problems before picking it up. We were assured by our salesman and the finance person that there would be no problems in sending someone out to ND if there was an issue because we would be living FT in it, and once there, unable to be taken anywhere for service. Even paid $5K more for a 7 year bumper to bumper warranty. So on the way to ND the slide molding falls off. We get to the camp site and one slide would not go all the way out, hubby had to work back and forth until it finally went out. Air coming in from around all slides even though they are totally out. It rained and we got water in from two slides and our cargo area was soaked. The dealer tried to get someone out here from Forest River but nobody wanted to come out. Finally a RV Repairman came and told us the slide seals were wrong, two slides that dont move look like they had been worked on before, as screws were missing underneath, and the second living room slide stopped working while he was testing them. The Repairman pissed off the dealership warranty lady and she is now out of the picture. Parts were supposedly ordered and shipped from Forest River, but that was two weeks ago. Repairman says in another two weeks it will be too late to fix this year as snow is coming tomorrow night. He thinks maybe foam boards and mylar and tape may be our only solution until spring. Only one payment made, and too many tears. I do not want to freeze in the North Dakota Oil Fields. And he is the ONLY Rv repairman in over 200 miles and supposedly the Forest River Warranty repairman. And he keeps saying, this is why I dont like doing warranty repair. OH, he says he can order the parts and do the repair but we will have to pay him directly and attempt to get all the money from the manufacturer. They havent reimbursed me for his first trip yet and they were the ones that said to pay him and they would reimburse me.....Trust none.Re: Fulltimers....what's your favorite 5er?We bought a 2016 Prime Time Sanibel 3901 (forest River) and have had it for a month. The crown molding (heavy) fell off of the kitchen slide and scratched the residential stainless fridge (not happy) and one of the living room slides had major issues going out and will not go back in now. Slide on other side is also not coming back in. 2 slides leaking water, 5 slides leaking air. Had RV repairman come out (we paid him) and he said the wrong seals were put on the slides, chassis is 2015 model, so pieces and parts of each year were used. Supposedly our replacement parts were ordered overnight but we have not seen them in 2 weeks and they arent answering our calls. The dealership in Denver has passed it off to the Manufacturer so they are no help either. Just made the first payment, and I am hoping not to freeze here in ND. Dont buy a Sanibel.Re: Best All Year Four Seasons Full Time Fifth WheelsNew to forum, new to full time. Just bought 2016 Prime Time Sanibel 3901, 5 slides, 42 ft. We are parked in the Bakken, 50 miles from Canada, colder than Minot ND. We have had nothing but problems since hauling it up here. 2 slides cannot close, all 5 leak air, 2 leak water and have water in our storage compartment underneath when it rains. We can't take it anywhere as we are living up here, and Forest River is not really wanting to help us up here. I guess I will find out about the extreme thermo pkg soon as snow is expected Tuesday. It uses quite a bit propane. I don't recommend the Sanibel at this point.
