All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: Residential fridge during StorageI contacted Frigidaire and asked them the same question. They said to turn the refrigerator off, make sure to drain the water lines and leave the doors open.Re: Dynamax, TrilogyWe just bought a 2015 Trilogy 36RL last month. I talked to someone at Dynamax and they told me production of the Trilogy is on hold for the time being. Dynamax is still in business and everything is still warrantied. It's not like a few years ago where rv manufacturers are shutting their doors. We felt comfortable enough to buy and got a great deal.Re: Upgrades to the rigWe plan on doing some upgrades and customizing to our current FW instead of replacing with a new rig. It's less money, will be exactly what we want and we know what we have now vs buying new and dealing with the issues so many of them seem to have.Re: Full remodel interiorI've been looking into doing the same thing. Our FW is in very good condition. I've looked into adding a residential refig, Mor Ryde IS w/disc brakes, RV Armor Lifetime Roof, new sofa and recliners plus a little bit of cabinet work. Can get all that for about $20k. The new FW's we've looked at are $80k and up. Also, you get a new one and you will probably have to deal with problems for awhile. Is $20k $$$? I guess it depends on your perspective. I know it's a lot less than $80+. I also know I have a good dependable FW that I've already done a lot of mods to vs a new one with potential issues and then doing mods to it.Re: FrameAs far as I know there are only 3 and they have been mentioned. Excel, Northwoods Mfg and Lifestyle unless some of the custom rv builders build their own.Re: Looking for high quality 5th wheelTake a look at Arctic Fox. In your price range, you can buy new and they have several models around the 30' length.CustomizersDoes anyone know of a place they would recommend in Texas that does rv customization? If not in TX, anywhere else? I'm specifically wanting a residential refrigerator installed and some modifications to the cabinets. ThanksRe: Thor/Heartland buys out DRVI've heard the same as everyone else - it's a win win situation, nothing is going to change, same people stay in place and will be able to get materials at better prices because of bulk buying but I really doubt any price reduction is going to be passed to the customer. It means bigger profits to Thor.Re: Dry Rot Michelin XPS Versus Bridgestone R250I used to be a big believer in Michelin tires but I believe they have changed something. My truck has 18,5xx miles on it and a week ago the third set of Michelins were installed on it, all due to sidewall cracks. The original set was done at 5,400 miles and then the second set was at 18,500. The originals were the LTX A/T2 as were the first set of replacements. This 3rd set is the LTX M/S2's and the spare was even replaced as it was still an original tire (had never been on the ground) and it was cracked the worst.Re: 2015 Arctic fox?I've been paying attention to their web site to see when they might make some changes/upgrades. I would like to see them offer a residential refrigerator and disc brakes as options. I would also like to see them install some overhead cabinets in the bedroom. If they would do these things, the 35-5Z would be our next fifth wheel.
