So I probably missed the back drop or beginning of the story... but why did you have to trade? Something wrong with the 15 you had? Just curious, cause I hear a lot of people bitching about prices but most don’t need to get a new car/truck now... most just want the newest greatest whatever they can buy... this really isn’t the time for trading in or buying.... if more would not buy, then the high trap pricing will fall.... car sales man are loving life right now... so I can assure u that I have zero desire to give those greedy people my hard earned money... oh I could go on about the Crooked Auto industry right now.... but man it would be along post.....lol451Views0likes0CommentsRe: GRRR Ford Dealer - 2022 SD

Absolutely I agree if he orders a truck a certain way then he should get it that way. It’s all in how it’s handled. A lot of times things happen and it’s not always a person doing it deliberately against you. Just reading his post seemed like he was ready to go and throw down with the dealer. Yep I get it, but going there and escalating the situation brings on new problems. If he doesn’t have money down on it then walk away and find someone else to deal with. Well, if you have not put any money down then, screaming or escalating at the dealer may not work out so well for you. Sometimes things go crazy on the net. It’s probably just someone who made an honest mistake... going to the dealer and blowing up about it if you plan to ... won’t do anything... just go in a try to hear everything out.. yes if someone deliberately did you wrong then you should be upset, if it’s just a fluke and nobody screwed you over then don’t be upset when it can be fixed... The 2013 burb with the 6.0 and low mileage is the one that u should be looking at..... the 8.1 is an awesome engine, but........ drinks more the the 6.0 and is much older. With the 6.0 and 6 speed auto, ur hwy mpgs should be 17-18 or so... I get 17 mpg at 70 while driving my 2009 2500hd with the 6.0. A gas 3/4 ton will be cheaper then a diesel and you could even get one newer.. just my thoughts..I have an 09 gmc 2500hd gas job and pull 10k. It’s paid for and just about to hit 100k. BIL used to own one. His truck was a 2010 though 4x4 with 5.4 and 3:73 gears I believe. He pulled a 7-8 k travel trailer. He didn’t complain about it as far as I know. It was a good truck, drank some gas but so does any gas towing rig like my 09 6.0 GM. I think they had some issues with the 3 valve heads and cam phasers. Though he did not, but he only had the combo for a few years and sold it, just because he went down to a mid sized truck and was not towing at that point.231Views0likes0CommentsRe: Anyone ? Well my buddy picked one up, 2020 Z71 package 4x4 diesel 3.0. I think it’s the mid LT ? model with cloth seats. Beautiful truck, has a factory lift but not the trail boss edition. Pulls a small camper with it, sure it will be fine. Quiet when it’s running, rides really nice... The dealer told him that the belt change will be extended, I don’t know what miles or years that will be. Amazing truck though, good deals right now to be found locally here. Yea emissions is always something that I personally would be concerned about. I would imagine that he would not change anything in that area since it would be under warranty. I kinda pushed him into thinking about the Ford with the ecoboost but no luck there. I have read about the oil bath belt and I know he isn’t concerned about that...as far as Nissan that’s a no go..so I guess it’s the GM 3.0:so far... I must admit, I’m curious as well since I would consider one myself in the future. Op here.... hopefully no spell check errors, lol anyway, yes I’m not looking for one myself. A friend is pretty set on picking one up, and I’ve been researching it out to help him. He turned down both the Ford and Ram counterparts so hence GM is first now on list.... I did look at one the other day, so what’s the deal with small diesels being problematic?618Views0likes0Comments
