They have easy access for truck and motor home fueling and they have a scale. I asked the crew running the scale to help me weigh my m.h. (they weigh axles only) and they seemed happy to help. They even told me what my toad weighed. I know my reply is a bit late, maybe you can try them on the return trip.Re: One Rooftop AC Not coolingI used to have a 2002 mh with the intellitec climate control and replaced the front roof air after a lot of frustration with only blowing cold air when it wanted to. You haven't mentioned if the control panel shows its shedding power. Is it? Mine would run the blower but seldom kick on the compressor. New ac did the same thing. turns out it was the brain in the ecc. I replaced it too with no better result. The fix was an upgrade to a pure sine wave inverter charger with the ability to regulate the battery charging rate. I'm pretty sure the ecc brain is very fussy about the 12v it gets to run. The last time the ac wouldn't bliw cold, i also mean stop shedding power, i found a house battery cable loose and dirty. I cleaned and tightened it and then tried the ac and it worked.Re: One Rooftop AC Not coolingLook on youtube for a "how to" video - Check both capacitors, the start and the run capacitors. They are accessed by removing roof ac shroud and then finding them in a metal compartment of some kind. You need a meter to test their ability to store power, like a battery. Be careful of stored power. A visual inspection may show them burnt and leaking meaning a replacement is due. i found a meter at Lowe's that had a, "Cap" setting for testing. Be careful aound electricity, make sure all power is off.Re: Pex crimp tool?Joe, i used pex crimp fittings a while back and couldn't get it to not leak. A plumber friend of mine loaned me his professional grade crimper and got it not leak. I was left with an uneasy feeling about pex fittings. A week or so ago i discovered pex has a new system that does not crimp, it has a plastic band that squeezes the fitting. No more crimper, the new tool opens the end of pipe by flaring and you quickly put them together before it closes. I'm sold on the new way and my plumber friend told me its all he uses now...leak free. I think Milwaukee makes a batt powered flare tool or the cheaper hand tool works.Re: Are 2007 Monacos subject to Radiator Failure?StuarT, I think you are at the same starting point i was...i really like the Camelot 40 and got it at a good price. Read my posts about my problem with bedroom heat. I asked around and bill willard referred me to elite rv in oregon, Eugene i think. They wanted $1,500 to build and install an engine bay vent. Two months outfor an appointment. I thought it was pricey so i drilled 5 4" holes where the vent will go (some day) and inserted cheap round heat vent registers...to keep the rain out. I skinned the remaining unprotected engine bay ( really the floor of the closet ) with sticky back aluminum faced foam. Those to things have made the heat soak transfer almost livable. I like the coach more and more every day.Re: Are 2007 Monacos subject to Radiator Failure?StuartT, i have a 2007 camelot and have experienced the engine heat transfer to the bedroom problem. Bill Willard in az knows a lot about it and helped me find a source to build/install a vent. Fans are not really necessary. Its a fixable problem.Re: Slide won't go in. no power...I had a 2002 expedition and the livingroom slide wouldn't go out. There was a slide circuirt board for both bedroom and livingroom so i plugged the living slide into tge bedroom slide circuit board and the livingroom slide worked. Bad circuit board.Re: Excessive engine heat transfering to bedroomGot info from a camelot owner, he said no way for engine heat to leave the engine bay is a known problem. It is a design flaw that monaco fixed in later models. Monaco made a cut in vent opening free to owners...back then in 2007 I guess. I will locate a vent and try that. Thanks for your help.Re: Excessive engine heat transfering to bedroom12v fans may be what I will try bugman. Thanks.Re: Excessive engine heat transfering to bedroomThanks for the comments. Mr. Mark, my shore cord 12v spool is located at the very rear drivers side of the coach, at about eye level, so it is in the engine bay and not insulated well enough. I went to the coach today and looled under, over, and around everything. I didn't see any breaks, cracks or leaks. I spoke with a Cummins service center rep today and as I told my story I said I had never heard the radiator fan running...but that cant be because the engine would overheat. I'll start it up tomorrow and look at the fan. Thanks again.
