Here's our current list of mods for our 2014 Sportsmen Classic 19BHS – http://imgur.com/a/hJQzRhttp://imgur.com/a/hJQzR Below are some photos from storage mods using melamine shelves that have a finish that is almost a direct match. Yes, I'm aware these are a bit heavy and yes fully aware of damage and fire risk on the one above the stove (will be adding corrugated metal to the bottom and we NEVER use stove anyhow). The one over the bed is by our feet and there's plenty of room and no problems with that, although it was tricky to cut to fit right since the top shelf isn't square and the front of camper and rear for shelf is curved a bit. Anybody with a Sportsmen MUST do this mod, seriously: These are awesome and a perfect fit. Took out the closet bar and added these stacked drawers (who hangs pressed clothes camping??? We have added command hooks inside for jackets/sweathshirts. Target and Walmart carried these when we got them. Fairly certain they are this product from Sterlite - http://www.walmart.com/ip/Sterilite-Medium-Modular-Storage-Drawers-Set-of-6-White/15940599 NOTE - The bottom drawer doesn't fully come out due to the lower closet trim piece, but I plan to build a small sub floor to raise up the drawers past that point. Custom built plate holder, just some birch plywood and small dowels. Still need to put in hooks for the mugs and organize the other side. DIY struts, cause it's kinda heavy, but it's really the holding it open that's the problem, not the initial lift. Added a nightstand shelf on the back of the dinette which is right next to the bed. I should have took more care with the cut, but from a distance it looks factory. We just LOVE these felt bumpers in our house on every door and drawer/cabinet. When we go the trailer they were a must. Makes midnight trips to bathroom or cabinets less disturbing for those sleeping and adds an element of quality feel/sound. Stuck remotes here with velcro to be removed when needed. These little bins are great for keys and change and turns out they have yet to slide off from here during travels. Finally, the only mod that matters. Handy and quick access to open that next brew. ;)351Views0likes0Comments
