I thought the black tank valve was all the way closed but it wasn't and when the cap came off it was a gusher. Now I have placed one final valve at the cap that will help to keep that from ever happening again. RodeoboyRe: 2 - 2000 watt vs 1 - 3000 watt noise levelI have (2) 2000W Hondas and love them. I like the fact that if I'm not running my AC I use less gas as well as I alternate them on and off every 10 - 12 hours to give the other one a break. I also like the fact that if for some reason one wont start or dies, I have a spare. I normally dont run the AC with the Generators but they do handle it quite well. If you get 2 of them build a aux fuel tank setup for them. I run mine off of an auxiliary boat tank so I dont have to worry about any of them running out.Re: Solid State storage Disc ...I would think using some sort of raid 1 or 5 setup would be best for you. Like they said SSD are very expensive and like all things, they can fail too. Might I suggest a Buffalo Links station. We have 2 of them for datastores. Since the data is not that crucial, we only run a Raid 1 with Hot Swappable drives. But they do sell larger units as well. They are very easy to setup and seem to perform well. There also other brands that do the same thing. If your files are extremely valuable, you could buy an removable sata device like a Removable SATA hard drive bay and do backups to the drive and take them offsite to a bank vault like I do. Just some thoughts. RodeoboyRe: Vent Covers and Slideout AwningsI am very much pro-vent cover, but as for the difference between the MaxxAir I vs II, I dont know the pro/cons. I myself have the MaxxAir II on my Fantastic Fan and my toilet vent. They really do allow for the vents to be open in fairly hard rains. They also serve as protector for my vent covers. I had a Walnut fall out of a tree and bust my vent cover. As for Slide Toppers, a lot of mixed reviews on them. I do have them and they do keep the leaves/Pine Needles and sticks off of the top of my slides. However they can be quite loud if it gets windy. Sincerely, RodeoboyRe: Trailer Brake ControlersThanks to all. I have not adjusted the brakes but I did look at them and they still have a lot of show left. I will look into adjusting them and maybe Santa will bring me a new brake controller over the holidays. Thanks, RodeoboyTrailer Brake ControlersThis topic has been moved to another forum. You can read it here: 27955087Trailer Brake ControlersI have a 38 foot Montana 5th wheel and use a Pilot brake controller. Although I know my trailer is close to being overweight, I have noticed that my trailer just does not stop as fast as I would like and I have the controller maxed out. I was thinking of switching out the controller cause it is almost 12 years old now. What brake controllers do you use? Just wondering, RodeoboyRe: 6.6L Duramax DeiselMine is a 2005 and I like it. No issues yet. I pull a 15000 Lbs 5th wheel and get around 11 MPG. RodeoboyRe: PetesRVWell I didn't purchase my trailer from them when they were Petes, I bought from them when it was Roll'n On Rv a fews years before. Although my sales person is still there and they do still treat me well when I bring my trailer into them for service. Sincerely, RodeoboyRe: Need RV Repair Recommendations in NW Indiana? Thanks to all, I will relay the information to her. Thanks again, Rodeoboy
