I was trapped on NuFinish for a long period but lately have been using McGuires. Which version of Meguiars?Re: Best RV WaxI got this reply email from rejex on their product for RV's if anyone is interested Hi Paul, Congratulations on your new RV! RejeX was originally developed for the US Air Force to prevent super-heated exhaust gasses from tearing up paint on military aircraft. Since that time, although we are a small company, RejeX has won numerous accolades – most recently a RejeX customer (a million-dollar antique Mercedes) was named SCCA national grand champion. Same car was named “Best in Show” at the Chico Concourse d’Elegance. But RejeX is not just a “pretty” product. It is used on everything from yachts to RVs to motorcycles to airplanes for it’s ability to protect expensive toys/equipment from the elements like no other product can. For example, RejeX is currently spec’d by the US Navy for use on billion-dollar cruisers and destroyers outfitted by the AEGIS missile system (and that’s actually a funny story because they found out about us because of RVers). The three main issues I see with RVs are: Because they are large, most people don’t have the ability to “garage” them, so they take a lot of UV damage Because of the aerodynamics involved, your 5th wheel is susceptible to collecting a lot of bugs on the cab-over Because many RV-ers are and older demographic (sometimes on fixed incomes), they need a product that is practical to apply and that will last (even the guys who are rolling in million-dollar busses cringe when they get charged $600+ for a wax job). RejeX addresses all these issues. For all intents, it eliminates UV oxidation of gel coat and paint. Bugs will still hit your cab-over, but you’ll need little more than a garden hose spray to remove them. Depending on how many miles you travel, RejeX can last a whole year. I am unaware of anyone posting any RV-specific videos using RejeX. I do know that when Winnebago does their rallies and sends factory reps to do owner maintenance seminars, RejeX is the product they recommend (they also carry it in the factory pro shop in Wisconsin). As long as your RV paint is in good condition, which I assume it is since it’s new, your maintenance can be very easy. Just get it clean with a good quality mild carwash soap like our Pro Wash RX. There’s no magic formula to soap, so just get a clean rinsing, mild, non-polluting carwash soap. Dry and then RejeX. If you end up driving a lot of miles, you might want to put a second coat on the front of your truck and the cab-over portion of the RV, as these are the high abrasion areas. You can do more if you want, but in general, everywhere else, one coat should be sufficient per year. Hope that helps. - - J.D. I made the suggestion to the DW that she might like to do it & I'd pick out the missed spots. That is when the fight started. She made some suggestion of a dark place where I could park it. Won't be doing that again. So I guess you did the job, eh?Re: Best RV WaxI emailed meguiars and they recommended their M20 polymer sealant for Rv's gelcoat and they said it would do the decals as well. Anyone tried it?Re: Best RV Wax MTPockets1 wrote: Rejex is great and apply right over decals, rubber, glass. Been in use on my rig over two years and this stuff is phenomenal. Read their info on web. It does what it says. Www.rejex.com So do you coat all the trailer, gelcoat, decals cap etc with this stuff or just certain areas?Re: Best RV WaxKohai So, you may want to test your wax on a decal in a place that isn't obvious if you are going to use wax on decals." Problem is the damage to the decal will not show up immediately, it is degraded over time. My last RV I priced new decals and they wanted $2,000.00 plus install.Re: Best RV WaxHas anyone tried the 303 Aerospace stuff on the gelcoat and decals? (I assume you do not wax at all)
