All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsHelp in finding new city water connectionI have a 2014 Jayco 267 BHS. Ever since new, I have always fought with the crappy original city water connection. It has plastic threads and I believe I messed them up on my first trip out two years ago. It is time to replace it. The outside measurement is 4 3/4 inches and it has a recess. I am hoping to find a direct replacement with brass threads instead of plastic. I am having trouble finding one that lists the specs accurately for comparison on Amazon. Any ideas on a vendor that would list accurate specs or a link to one?Re: Honda RidgelineI had a 2008 Ridgeline for five years prior to getting my current F150. I absolutely loved it. I was pretty rough on it and it never failed and the resale value was incredible. I would say that it's strength is that it is so versatile. It does alot of truck things pretty well, but not as well as a half ton. I reached a point where I was pushing its limits in how much that bed can hold and the softer suspension started to reveal itself when the back would squat 3 inches with 1000lbs in it. I would recommend one for pulling a big pop-up in a second, but it is not the best choice for a 4500 tt. When traveling at 60 mph and getting passed by a big rig or going up or down big hills, things become clear that the more capable tv makes driving alot more pleasant and safe. With that said, i miss my ridgeline for daily driving.Re: Battery Installation question westend wrote: You also have another white wire entering the box, where does that lead? Not sure about that. I will have to check tomorrow.Re: Battery Installation questionSee why I'm confused?Re: Battery Installation questionBlack wire going here... Also just because it sparked does not mean you had it wired incorrectly, that can happen occasionally as you the cable makes contact with the battery. I thought so too, until I reread the original post: Am I right in that the white wire is a positive lead because it goes to the junction box? That's wrong. Exactly. The white wire goes to a junction box. The black wire goes to a splitter bracket to the frame. That isn't right and caused the whole problem.Battery Installation questionPlease help me to not ruin my new camper. I went out last night to reinstall the battery on our 15 Jayco 267bhs. Here is the problem. I wish I would have taken a picture of which wires go where. I take a look and fortunately the wires are labeled with a sticker. The white lead had a neg sticker. I hook up the white wire. And pull over the black wire. As soon as I hook it on the battery I see a spark. I quickly pull it back off and assess the situation. The white wire was leading to a junction box and the black lead led to a splitter on a bracket attached to the frame. It appears that the sticker is wrong. hopefully that split second before I pulled it off didn't cause a problem. Am I right in that the white wire is a positive lead because it goes to the junction box?Re: Dogs in TT'sI have seen many different types of truck bed toppers and some actually eliminate the tailgate and have narrow hinged up right door for access, which might solve your problem. I wonder if they can seal to the rear of the cab so you can regular the temperature with the ac in the truck through a sliding rear window.Re: 24-28' Bunkhouse... Any love/hate opinions??We love our Jayco Jayflight 267bhs for two adults , two kids, and two dogs. It is a little cramped around the queen bed and tough to make with only access to the sides. To be honest, we aren't too concerned about it. We almost went with something smaller and easier to tow. We only sleep in it. We camp to be outside more.
