Our black tank is 50 gallons and the largest one I see is 42 from Barker. I know some will say that we could use the facilities at the camp ground, but much prefer our own. Thanks for any input. DaveRe: Baltimore and WashingtonI absolutely agree with DrewE on using I-81. When I go to New England that is the route I use. No cities except to go through Hartford and I know to get through there between 10AM and 3PM during the week. It is a little longer overall, but a much more peaceful drive and definitely less stressful.Re: Progressive Industries shout outThey also replaced mine this year at no charge.Re: Keyless Entry LocksI put in a keyless on my front entry door(keyed backup) and had the baggage door locks ordered as regular keyed entry. All doors locks are keyed to the one key. could not see spending the money for keyless on every door.Re: Am I in the safe range, should build it up? Need help!We picked up a brand new 2015 F350(CC DRW 4WD Diesel) last year for 45k. It is an XL model with some options. It does what we need pulling our 5th with ease and is very comfortable.Re: Purchasing / Upgrade To A Fifth-WheelI agree with the 1 ton truck, but before you decide on which truck figure out the 5th wheel you want and then get the truck that will be appropriate. Don't decide on the truck first.Re: Moosehead Lake MaineWife and I stayed at Balsam Woods campground a few years ago and enjoyed our stay there. It is about 30 minutes or so south of Greenville in Abbot. Balsam WoodsRe: roadside assistanceSwitched to Good Sam just recently. Tried to use my Coach Net back in May and they said my subscription had expired. Well I was sure it was good through July, but dealt with getting the tire changed with the help of a couple of other travelers. Once I got home and was able to go through my records I found that it actually was supposed to be good until July. Needless to say I was not a happy camper and decided on switching to GS.Re: Front Living Room and/or back raised LR 5'r floorplans whitneykt wrote: I think that is our biggest fear . . Getting into a situation where we can't turn a corner. That and narrow, windy mountain roads. We always do research about where we are headed to determine if we will have any issues with the route we wish to take. You will want to use truck stops for fuel when towing the trailer for ease of getting in and out. Most gas stations aren't designed for refueling of trucks towing big trailers. As of yet we haven't run into any situation where we couldn't navigate through.Re: Front Living Room and/or back raised LR 5'r floorplansWe have a Solitude 379FL that is 42' long. Have stayed in a couple of state parks and also some private camp grounds. We would not fit on all sites, but every place we have stayed had spaces plenty deep enough for us to safely back into or pull through. As for drive-ability I do not have any issue, you just need to take your time and realize that you have to swing wide enough to get around corners.
