OP says he won't be around daily, but will come around once in a while, and gets that response from fellow forum members. Sometimes it gets to the point where one is embarrassed to be part of the group. Matt BRe: A/c thermostat keeps getting touched by mistake.Would a piece of paper taped over it prevent it from activating? Lift it up to change settings. Matt BRe: Selling an RV with a lienI bought an RV with a lien. Seller disclosed the lien when we started talking seriously. I had no problem with that. We met at the seller's bank. I had a check issued by my bank. He had the remaining balance. His bank had the title. His bank got the money, seller got the debt released. I left with a notarized title. No problems at all. I suspect that any questions about the validity of the check were answered to the seller's bank's satisfaction before we walked out. Matt BRe: Should I advertise car as towable?Advertise it both ways, and see who responds. BTW, In my opinion, not disclosing the additional towed miles would be dishonest. Even though they are not on the odometer, it is slight additional wear on the car. Matt BRe: Any hints for grilling in moderate cold? You are in a RV. Drive to someplace warm! (smiley face thing here!) Matt BRe: Tucson/KOA/Lazy Days now $52/night! Alternatives you like?Aside from $100+ on the coast, I really don't remember what we have paid at campgrounds. If we just need a place to park, we will likely be at the Walmart, Flying J or BLM land. We have stayed at some really nice KOAs - live bands, coffee houses, restaurants, dog parks, huge no-waiting laundry rooms, etc. I remember a KOA somewhere in the northeast that had an indoor heated swimming pool. Swimming in a warm, steamy pool with a light snowfall outdoors was fun beyond a small price. For Tucson, Gilbert Ray Campground is beautiful and slightly rustic. Electricity and water, central dump station. No activities other than enjoying beauty. Matt BRe: done an epdm roof with something other than Liquid Roof? Gdetrailer wrote: mobilefleet wrote: and not Kool seal either. wondering if this cheaper product from HD would work, liquid roof is $230 at amazon and this is $100 for the same size bucket. Anyone actually tried this? https://www.homedepot.com/p/Lanco-5-Gal-Ultra-Siliconizer-Roof-Sealer-RC905-2/202086637 Is your roof shot? Or are you trying to prevent it from wearing out? Honestly, any thin liquid stuff you put up there is wasting your money and time.. I tried Kool seal and bed liner after the kool seal failed, neither product lasted more than a few months and started splitting. I put a new roof on and that fixed my problems. Not to mention the stuff you linked states SILICONE and I would RUN from any product that contains silicone if you ever have hopes of resealing roof vents and such.. NOTHING sticks to cured silicone, not even silicone it's self and cleaning old cured silicone is a pain. Agreed. I used paint-on goo for EPDM. It looked great at first. After a couple years, it cracked and just looked terrible. I recently replaced the roof. None of the work was technical, but it took about 40 hours. All materials - new roof, adhesives, plywood, new skylight, etc. less than $1000. It was also a chance to eliminate a bunch of potential leaks, I eliminated the antenna, ladder mounts, mostly useless solar panel, and relocated the horns to the underside - reduced the roof perforations by about 40 holes! Matt BRe: Need tips on rubber roof installJust days ago, I finished a roof replacement on our 34-foot motorhome. I used the thin lauan panels, construction adhesive underneath, and lots of screws. I chose a PVC roof as replacement, wanting to avoid maintenance. Some of the old roof was unattached and some was stuck so firmly that trying to remove it was tearing the old plywood apart. On our RV, all edges are underneath aluminum strips. I used butyl caulk underneath the sheet, underneath the aluminum trim strip, over every screw head, and along the edges after the plastic trim strip was installed. I made notes about the install, but have not composed it yet. For our motorhome, the job took about 40 hours. Other than positioning the air conditioners on the new roof, I did the job entirely myself. There are several good videos on Youtube. Do remember that the glue and caulk can be different for different roof materials. Matt BRe: EU2000 carburetor cleaningI don't know the specific answer to your question. One of mine ran rough - I put some Sea Foam in the tank. After maybe ten minutes, the rough running cleared up and it runs fine now. Matt BRe: Boondocking and a CPap machinesI use a Resmed CPAP and it uses a 24-volt power supply. The only compatible battery was $500ish. I bought a used Remstar CPAP from a local dealer for $75 that I use for travel. In the RV, it plugs into the ciggie lighter outlet. For tent camping, I use an auto battery jump box. I know a CPAP is not a BiPap, but I hope this helps. Matt B
