For those of you that get off the beaten path with your truck/camper rig, I'm wondering if you can share what air pressure you typically air down to when needed? I have a 2006 F350 crew cab/short box 4x4 with the 6.0 diesel. It hauls a slide in Palomino pop up camper that is probably just over 2000lbs fully loaded. I've managed to reserve campsites on the White Rim Trail in early October. So I'm planning a trip to the area. I'll be on the White Rim Trail for 4 days/3 nights. After completing the trail I would like to travel to Zion National Park. I'm interested in finding a scenic/back-road route from Canyonlands to Zion that offers camping and hiking along the way. Hi, I'm considering the purchase of a new Palomino SS-1608 or SS-1251. I have read about Palomino quality problems in earlier models and have also read that many of those issues have been corrected in the newer ones. I'm looking for feedback from some folks who actually own one of these newer pop-up campers, how do you use the camper, what sort of terrain do you travel on and how has it held up? Does anyone on the forum own one of the newer Palomino pop up slide-in campers? I'm looking at an SS-1608 or SS-1251 but am getting conflicting information on weights. Palomino lists dry/shipping weight at about 1795 lbs. Dealer says 1795 lbs is wet weight (i.e. water, propane, batteries but no personal cargo) I'd like to hear from someone that owns one of these campers, what is your typical real-world wet weight?
