Rather than guessing where power is (and where it isn't) take your VOM (voltmeter) and measure the battery voltage. You should see this same voltage all the way to the generator. Be sure to check the ground connections. It will probably turn out to be a bad connection or fuse. I'm not familiar with your rig, but electrical schematics will also be a big help in tracing the power.Re: How to REMOVE ugly vinyl letters?Hi Ho: As you have heard, getting the decal off is only the first part of the problem. Getting the gel coat where the decal was not to show is not that easy. If you absolutely must take it off, laquer thinner followed by buffing with a machine and buffing compound is about as good as it gets, but you might still see where the decal was.Re: test drove a 2002 Winnebago AdventurerHi Ho: The biggest difference between the gasser and the diesel pusher is that the engine is in the rear so the noise level up front is very low. The diesel pusher is bigger and heavier, but actually easier to drive. The diesel will require more expensive upkeep, but half the fun of owning an RV is working on them (or?)Re: Moisture in Double Pain WindowHi Ho: Everyone has to figure out the best approach, but for me the company in Hudson, FL gets my vote. I am very independent as far as fixing things in the coach. Our last coach was a 2000 Itasca Suncruiser that in 13 years never went to the shop for work. I'm sure y'all know that in that time and 45,000 miles there were quite a few things to do. That is especially true since I simply redo things my way a lot even if they worked as originally expected. Anyway dual pane windows are something I'm sure I could fix, but it just isn't worth the hassle. The outfit in Hudson, FL charges about $200/window and gives a prorated 10 year warranty. There are very few things that I consider reasonable when it comes to service work, but this is one of them. Windows are cleaned on both sides as well as possible and the seal is different than the original. I believe that it is this seal and the way it is installed that makes the difference. I put window rebuild in the same catagory as dry wall. Building and rebuilding things is kind of a hobby, so cement work, framing, electrical wiring, plumbing, putting on a new roof etc. are all things I'm comfortable with. Dry wall is also something I have done more than once, but I don't like it much and would simply rather pay someone else to do it. They can do it faster and good enough to be acceptable. Anyway, time will tell if the Hudson, FL rebuild was a good choice. By the way, we got 10 windows done. It took 3 days.Re: ShinglesHi Ho: Look at it this way: If you get the flu shot, you should for sure get the shingles shot. Anybody over 50 should have it. Nothing is for sure, but I can tell you for sure you don't want shingles.
