There are two lights above the dinette however we cannot find a switch to turn the dinette lights on. Does anyone know where this switch is? We are done Dumbfounded.Re: Best way into Grand Lake ColoradoI lived outside Grand Lake for a number of years. i-70 to Empire and over Berthoud Pass (Hwy 40) is the best option. Why 34 from Loveland through Estes Park/Rocky Mountain National park is a scenic route that is amazing, it is not the best option for towing an RV. I70 is a pull out of Denver up to altitude, but it is a 3-4 lane interstate Hwy and allows for slower traffic. Berthod Pass is gonna be a pull but it is better than the altitude change you will experience on Hwy 34. Feel free to IM me if you need more info. Grand Lake is a beautiful area, lots to do if your into the outdoors.Re: Travel Trailer weight vs vehicle hauling Allworth wrote: Bluntly! You are not going to fine a trailer with bunks and a queen bed that is suitable for that tow vehicle. X2Re: HEY we need a sticky for our TT pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!After a frustrating 2 years with a Komfort Trailblazer, we are glad to trade that POS in on a Creekside 23DBS. Can already tell its a much better built unit and we have not even taken it on its inaugural trip. And we also lost 4 feet of length which is a very good thing. top is new, bottom is old. Bad JuJu be goneAfter 2 years with Komfort trailblazer and 2 years of frustration, we finally got rid of it and bought a new Creekside 23DBS. the trailblazer was the most poorly built units i have ever had the please to own. Komfort went out of business, I wonder why !! http://i827.photobucket.com/albums/zz195/winterwolf227/6AF65F31-3DF1-4C22-B25E-373F4C479EB7_zpsvx865qp8.jpgRe: Weight Distribution Hitch with F350?I have a Dodge 3500, and 1100lb hitch weight on my trailer. i use the WDH if i am towing more than say 10-15 miles. I like how it rides with the WD hitch. I also have airbags on the back and that made a huge difference in ride quality !! have fun pulling with a Diesel, you'll never pull again with a gasserRe: KOA Rules -- 30 ampWe used to avoid KOA, but as our kiddo grows older, we find KOA has a lot to offer for her.Our last stay was at Astoria/Warrington KOA in Oregon, and we had a very nice stay !! I have seen the 30/50 amp issue popping up more and more recently. But I have also seen other campers/RV's treat Campgrounds as roadside rest stops with no regard for the owners or other campers. So I understand why they make silly rulesRe: Emigrant Lake, ORMake sure you are under weight on rig and trailer, because your return trip you will be overweight with all the wine you are gonna buy. ;-) tat is a great area for grapes and wine making.Re: Ecodiesel and Nissan Cummins donn0128 wrote: Cummins12V98 wrote: IMHO a real shame RAM let that CUMMINS go to the competition! I mean really who wants an "EGO DIESEL" ? Uhhh Ram does not own Cummins, so in reality Ram has no say in the matter! I completly agree, so sad that Cummins is not in the 1500 !!Re: KOA Rules -- 30 amp myredracer wrote: lil_camping_family wrote: From the electrical stand point, having a 50 amp rig and plugging into a 30 amp you are fine. The chances of you "popping" the breaker is more. Going from 30 amp to a 50amp is more dangerous. You now take the chance of "melting" your units main electrical line because the breaker knows to "pop" once it pulls a continuous 50amps or short circuits. Sorry, but wrong. For a 50 amp RV plugging into a 30 amp pedestal, the breaker in the pedestal limits the current to 30 amps. No risk. For a 30 amp RV plugged into a 50 amp pedestal, the 30 amp panel inside the RV limits the current to 30 amps. Shore power cord is therefore protected. Adapters are CSA approved, and if they were a danger, they wouldn't be on the market. The usual problem is that there are a lot more 30 amp RVs out there and the 30 amp recepts. get a LOT more use and worn out. Also, many owners do not turn the pedestal breaker off when plugging in the shore power cord, which causes pitting on the contacts and dirt build-up which then leads to a bad connection and overheating. Add the two together and you can/will get a meltdown. There should be no issues whatsoever with using adapters providing they are looked after and the plug blades are kept clean. Same for the shore power cord. Banning adapters shows lack of understanding. You could just as easily have a problem with a shore power cord that has a plug in bad shape. If a 30 amp pedestal recept. looks to be in bad shape, don't use it. If 50 amps is there, use an adapter. Or another option is to use an 18" 30 amp to 30 amp extender so that only the extender would get damaged. I we were forced to use a 30 amp pedestal recept. and not a 50 amp adapter and ended up with damage to the cord, I'd be looking to the CG for compensation. X2
