You can't park! There isn't a CW I want to park at/in - no matter what I'm driving - or the size of the parking lot..;) But thanks for the warning. (And sorry, Marcus) . +1Re: Volcano GrillThe propane adapter is cheap at Walmart.Re: Google is Hogging my Data AllotmentNo matter what... get rid of Norton. Very bad stuff.Re: Volcano GrillFantastic BBQ. I also use the propane to cook with the dutch oven. The kevlar cover is great for heating the entire oven. It also keeps the heat in to lower the fuel use. I make everything from bread to stews. A trivit in the bottom helps with baking the biscuits evenly.Re: Scan Gauge II Kemahsabe wrote: Another option is to use an OBDII Bluetooth adapter ($16) to send the data to your smartphone or tablet. Use the Android app 'Torque' to display the data. You could use your computer instead of phone if you want. I am also using Torque. It is MUCH cheaper than ScanGauge II. I have both, but mostly use Torque. The great part is you can make it a dedicated gauge by using that old phone you threw in a drawer. It's easier to read, and has a scrollable screen. When you place the gauges, you can choose the size.Re: Acton, CA KOA - AVOIDNo, we were not told of the festivities. I was there with a group of people for a two day event. I paid for an extra day just to kick back. The earliest we knew of the event was when my wife went to use the pool and they had the area closed off. Another person from our group found the night manager. He said it was a new policy to host weddings. He could care less that folks were upset. Try getting some sleep when people are playing LOUD, amplified music 100 feet from your camper, at midnight. At this point we left. After 9 hours of music. The management will not return either eMails or phone calls.Re: So what did you do to your Truck Camper today? Rbertalotto wrote: Fixed an air leak in my air bag tubing. What kind of leak, and how did you repair it?Re: FlagstaffTotally false. We've been going to Flagstaff for years. Never a single problem. We've camped in a travel trailer, then a truck camper. There are lots of things to do. Ruins, Observatory, trains, and lots of good food. It does get crowded around graduation time.Acton, CA KOA - AVOIDWe just stayed 3 nights there. The facilities were Ok, but not great. The WiFi took about 3-5 minutes for a page display, if at all. On our last day, Saturday, my wife went to check out the pool for a swim. That area appeared to be reserved for a wedding!!! At about 3 pm the deejay started. Very loud amplified music. That soon changed to a Very, Very Loud Mariachi Band. I mean VERY LOUD. They played until almost 11 pm. This is where there are many signs posted that say you will be ejected if you violate the 10-6 quiet hours. After the band packed up, the deejay music started up again. This is all taking place on the pool patio. Since it was impossible to sleep, we joined quite a few others and packed up and left at 11:45 pm. No sleep tonight.Re: Dutch Oven Cooking for Two! garmp1 wrote: gkas wrote: I use this Lodge LCC3 Pre-Seasoned Cast-Iron Combo Cooker, 3-Quart in my truck camper. Perfect size for the wife and I. It's a Dutch Oven and a skillet. Love it. It also fits perfectly in my Volcano Grill. Interesting you should mention the volcano grill. We have become very interested in purchasing one. The first time we saw one was at last years NDOG in Arkansas where they had them for $80. We planned to attend this years in Iowa, but illnesses & Dr. appts prevented that. We are very much DOG nubees. Do you have/use the optional lid or cover? Do you think it's worth the expense. thanks I have the foldable Volcano cover. Wouldn't be without it. It turns the Dutch oven into a evenly heated oven. I bake biscuits and bake with the covered oven. I use propane, so it also lowers the amount used.
