Also the campground is close to other shopping and downtown,Re: Bad lands areaMany years ago Crazy Horse and Deadwood were 4 star places but they have become tourist traps. You can get a good view of Crazy Horse from the road and save a expensive entrance fee. Gambling has ruined Deadwood unless you like gambling. The boot hill cemtary is worth a short vist. "here lies Less More - four shots fro a 44 - no less no More!Re: Lexington KY to Dayton OhioGOIN THROUGH CINCY ON 75 IS NEVER EASY. We do it often both ways to Norris Lake and back. We used the brige in May they are still working on it. Going around can be better but not always. Avoid rush hour if you can. Going south we went right through coming North we had about a 40 min delay. There is still a lot of construction on the bridge and 75 in Cincy.Re: Too hotWe lived in Rapid City for four years and one thing that was hard to predict was the weather. The only month we didn't have snow was July. But if you do have bad weather it will change quickly.Re: ChipmunksWe have a little trap that I bait with peanut butter on a cracker. I have trapped a dozen or so and relocated them at least three miles away. My wife won't let me kill them.Re: I 75 bridge in Cincinnattithe bridge opened todayRe: I 75 Bridge over Ohio river CLOSEDWe went around the bridge several times this summer when they were working on the lanes over the bridge and there is no easy way east or west. Plan on and extra hour+. They said this morning it will be days to fix the damage.Re: Veterans Day free AdmissionThink its a done deal now and in the future - Gold Star Families and U.S. military veterans will be granted free access to national parks, wildlife refuges and other Federal lands managed by the Department of the Interior starting on Veterans Day (Nov. 11) this year and every day onward.Re: trip to mt rushmoreLived in Rapid City for 4 years long ago but one thing we learned is the weather changes often and is unpredictable and will change a lot in a day or two. Only month we didn't generally have snow was July. Some things in Sep may be closing up but less crowds when school is in session. We have been back several times and We think Deadwood has become a tourist trap and the gambling has ruined the environment. Boot hill is still worth a visit. Also Crazy Horse has become expensive and touristy but worth a visit, best view is from the road. Lots of great scenery in the park and things to do, even a cave tour nearby.Re: Oregon Coast in SeptemberAfter school starts you should be able to get into the better state parks. The best way to see the coast is from the north to south since most of scenic site our on the ocean side. Astoria is a nice little town with an interesting tower and close to Ft Clatsop and the Lewis and Clark exhibits very interesting. many like the Tillamook Cheese tour and some good food. Also an Air Museum not far off the coast. Sometimes the traffic is bad but lots o little towns like Seaside are interesting stops.
