Depending on when the unit was built, the 2012's had the most issues of any of the Voltage trailers. One would think the previous owner resolved those issues over the past years but most of the major problems with Voltages were on units built in 2011 and sold as 2012's. I'm pretty sure this was their first year of production and bugs were being worked out. I own a 2013 Voltage 3200 and we have used it quite a bit over the last 2 years. It has had small issues but nothing I couldn't repair on my own.Re: Upgrade to a Voltage? LI Happy Camper wrote: I like trading in and upgrading every couple of years. How do you do that without taking a huge hit in negative equity?Re: What did you do to your Toy Hauler today???Got 4 new Maxxis tires installed and cleaned the roof.Re: Which Toy Hauler ? 2008Wildcat wrote: I would look into the Grand Design Momentum line. They are the ONLY toyhauler in the market using a drop frame, so you will have more storage in the front pass through area than anything else out there. The 40' model also has a 12' garage, and any options to make it what you need it to be. Not true about the drop frame. There was a Raptor at the recent show in Dallas that had a drop frame. I don't recall the model. I've noticed that with toy haulers (I don't pay attention to other types), being the only one to do something doesn't last. The competitors don't take long to incorporate popular designs or features into new models.Re: RV Show QuestionWe have a show in Dallas twice a year where the dealers come to the show with all different types of campers.Re: Dutchmen Voltage 3990A good friend recently purchased the 3990 and he pulls it with a 2012 Chevy 3500 DRW. No air bags. He said he has had no issues and the truck oulls and stops just fine. I know he has not weighed the unit to get loaded weights. We really liked this trailer as well except for the couch layout in relation to the TV (same complaint my friend has). You are always looking left to see the TV. We just walked the new Voltage 3970 and my wife really likes the layout.Re: Selling/Trading In - ExperiencesNice win for the Sooners. Awesome game.Re: Selling/Trading In - Experiences djtytrev630 wrote: Hey Sooner, you have a awesome rig! you won't have any problem selling it! Sooner Boomer Baby! 31 to 17 at the half!!!! Love to see them win but Alabama is tough. Second half is not going as well as the first.Re: Selling/Trading In - Experiences Lantley wrote: While I know none of the figures involved. I think a 2013 unit will be tough to sell without taking a hit. Depreciation is tough to overcomer on a very new unit. However I agree you have nothing to loose by selling yourself. You have the right attitude, sounds like your are not under the gun to make the sale. I do believe if a rig is price at fair market value it will sell. I expect to take some hit but I'd like to think it would be something less than trading it in. Back in Sept. when we were discussing it with the dealer, we were going to take a 13k hit on trade in. Now that is a total of 13k as I did not put anything down when I purchased it so I'm not losing some portion of a down payment.Re: Selling/Trading In - Experiences j sterchi wrote: We are trading our Voltage 3950 2013 for the new 3970 waiting for slide covers to be installed can't wait.Talk about a hit, well you know its just money can't wait got to do it now.Had a hard time finding anything about this 3970 but got it right before new years.RV of Ga. got it for me. I will post some pics as soon as we get it. Please do post pictures. We really liked the Cyclone version but now that Voltage came out with one it is high on our list.
