Called the mobile service and he replaced the relay. No problem since then. The relay trips on high temp, then resets. On battery, the voltage is lower, thus increasing the temp due to same amount of amperes being drawn, causing the relay to trip. Relays are $5-$10 as stated above.Re: Best deals on Grand Design RV's?I have purchased two Grand Design RV's , Reflection and then a Solitude, from Lazy Days in Tampa, and found them to have the best prices. I received about 25-28% off of each when I purchased, and then they did some extra stuff like the Fifth wheel for the truck and some small stuff for the RV.Re: Ocala Natl. Forest at ThanksgivingStayed at Salt Springs and found the Camp To have too many rules and too many people enforcing them. They had a meeting with the Park Ranger while I was there and it was a lot of complaining about the Land Leasing Management company that was running the park and the camp hosts that were enforcing the rules. I was warned for having a tire touch the grass and not being on the pavement by 2". Nothing allowed that will put a hole in the ground like a flag or tent spike.Re: Guess I won't get a toy haulerI have a Grand Design Solitude, and in order to take it off the lot, they had Tampa Spring put a 1000# extra leaf on the F250 SRW Crew Cab Lariat truck and re-certify it to 11000, and they also re-certified the Pin weight as well. The 5'er weighted in at 14140, pin weigh of 3120, and total GVWR 11, 020 #. The total gross weigh of both was 22,100# I added air bags to help keep the porpoising to a minimum. I also put all terrain tires on it to get the extra weight rating of the tires (3680 each). Just finished a 11,000 mile trip out west, and had no problems.Re: water leak around ac unitThanks, I will measure the gasket and decide from there.water leak around ac unitMy 5'er is about 1.5 years old, and on the trip to Yellowstone, when we left a campground in NC Mtns, the front Ac unit started leaking water when it rained. It rained hard several days before leaving the campground, and no leaks. I tool it to Camping world and they tightened the 4 bolts on the unit and it quit. It rained several times on the 9000 mile trip and no leaks. I returned back through the NC Mtns on the way home, stayed at the same CG, where it rained before we left with no leaks. When I pulled into the next campground after leaving, it was raining, and the unit was leaking again. The NC Mtn CG had several steep and sharp turns, so i am wondering if that could cause the unit to shift and the seal to start leaking. I have not tried to tighten the bolts again, but now that I am home in Fl, looking for suggestions on how to properly fix the leak. Should I losses all four bolts and then retighten, or just take it to a service shop and let them replace the seal? Thanks in advance.Re: Kayak on Trailer Roof QuestionI use a Thule goal post in the front hitch of my TV and a rack on the top front of the TV. I carry two kayaks on it, one 11'6" and one 14 ft. I have seen kayaks on the top of the RV , but it looks like they added a rack system to the roof to carry them on.Re: Pulling 5th wheel through YellowstoneWe have made it to Buffalo, Wy, and will be leaving here in two days headed for Gardiner. We are not going to go through Cody and the East Entrance. Since we will be in Yellowstone for two weeks, we will do day trips out. We will leave the Tetons and head for Denver. has anyone driven to Rawlins on 26 and 287 from Coulter Village. Would like to know how the roads are there for pulling a 39 ft 5er.Re: Pulling 5th wheel through YellowstoneThe question I would have for the 212 section is availability of diesel fuel stops that I can get the truck and unit into to fuel? will stop halve way on that trip and make it a two day drive from Wall to Gardiner also.Re: Pulling 5th wheel through YellowstoneI looked at the maps, and think the best is to do 212 and then I90 to Livingston, and down to Gardiner. Since we will be there for two weeks, I will then drive the truck around in the park or take the tram and not deal with the construction and/or steep areas while I am pulling the unit. I think it may also keep the wife from having a panic attack as well. Thanks for all the good advise. Would still like to get info on the Badlands and Grand canyon also. We are staying at Sleepy Hollow at Wall, and will definitely do the Wall Drug.
