There was nothing said about wait times for help to arrive! Read posts more carefully!Coach Net vs AAA. An Experience.I had an experience today which impressed upon me the difference in wait times on the phone when seeking road side assistance. I was driving a lady friend's Subaru wagon. There were four of us in the vehicle (three women and myself). I did a dumb thing by leaving the keys in the ignition and locking the doors after we exited. Upon returning we had no choice but to call a roadside assistance company. Fortunately the car's owner and I had roadside assistance coverage. My lady friend called AAA and was put on hold for such a long period of time that she finally tired of waiting and hanged up. I then proceeded to contact my provider (Coach Net) and reached a representative in less than 10 seconds. I wasn't put on hold at all and we proceeded with exchanging the necessary information. I asked if the car was covered even though it wasn't mine. She said yes (I thought that was nice). Well, the upshot is that while I was talking to Coach Net my friend remembered there may be a spare key under the front bumper. She looked and sure enough there it was. I thanked the representative and we continued on our way. So there it is. Immediate response by Coach Net as opposed to an interminable wait for AAA, and the fact they covered a vehicle which wan't even mine. BTW, this was the first time I ever called Coach Net for assistance.Re: Loud Water PumpI guess I'm different from most folks because I never hook up to city water but I run off the fresh water tank instead. I have vaious reasons for doing so. I like to hear the pump. It lets me know if there is any leakage in the pressurized water system. If I here it run occasionally with all faucets turned off it could indicate a leak but in most cases it turns out that a spigot somewhere wasn't turned off tightly enoughRe: 1920's Dodge Ad Ogeechee wrote: reminds me of this: I dunno. Would we need the dual pane? No I would agree you wouldn't need dual pane windows in So. Calif., especially if you park not far from the coast. Inland can get pretty hot. I fulltimed in So. Calif. for many years and never had dual pane windows on any RV. I always lived near the coast, though. Now, So. Georgia will probably get hot in the summer.Re: Need RV Park Recommendation Near Belleview, FL hipower wrote: There is one right on 27/441 in the area you are looking at. I believe Southern Oaks in Summerfield is about the price range you are looking for. There is another park in Lady Lake that is a little less appealing to some, it is The Blue Parrot. Can't find much for a web site, but they are pretty busy in the winter months. Oops, a little late to the dance. LOL Thanks, Hipower. I checked their website. That looks like the very park I was looking for in the first place. I thought it was in Belleview. That's why I couldn't locate it. However, the park I found in Lady Lake is quite a bit cheaper ($350/mo vs $515/mo). I'll consider Southern Oaks as a "back up" in case I'm dissatisfied with the other park.Re: Headin' to Florida motorcycle jack wrote: And we're inland enough that any hurricane is no more than a heavy rain and only have had 1 in 15 years in this area. Well, John, that means you're due for a hurricane any time soon! :BRe: Need RV Park Recommendation Near Belleview, FL Boldtning wrote: Have you looked into the Blue Parrot? Yes, Jeff, that park is on my list in case the one I chose isn't acceptable for some reason.
