(Single axel Vibe)I agree with you grit that sway control should not ever be needed with a single axel. However FR did make this one with the bath in the nose. I was in it. Perhaps it was a short lived floor plan for good reason.Re: Is ForestRiver nuts or what? (Single axel Vibe) Re: Is ForestRiver nuts or what? (Single axel Vibe)Yes they have the sway control set up. And because it has the “V” nose there is no room on the hitch to add anything. Because the fender and wheels are outside of the wall I think we will just move the axel back. FR most think people are going to pull this junk with a Honda Civic. Is ForestRiver nuts or what? (Single axel Vibe)Friends bought this 20 footer, V nose Vibe. With a full sized pickup they are scared towing it as it sways and whips…unless they first fill the black tank, which is in the front where the bathroom is. This isn’t the first time I have run into this with my trailer repair business. When dry a 5 year old boy can lift the hitch!! There is only about 7 pounds of weight on it. My proposal to fix it is to move the axel back about 2 feet. How do they get away with building like this.Re: Water tank failed! (09 Cedar Creek) fifth.Well I got the bottom off. Thankfully it’s not the tank but the plastic nipple that screws into the tank for the drain. There is about 5 inches of plastic water pipe down to the valve. Stupid of Forest River to not use copper for something very exposed to the elements.Re: Water tank failed! (09 Cedar Creek) fifth. It ran completely dry dry fast so I doubt that it is piping. I know I’ll be smarter when I have the panels off. My question was about using aluminum to build another one. I thought perhaps that would be ok since the hot water tanks are aluminum. Plus the benefit of having a bigger one.Water tank failed! (09 Cedar Creek) fifth.Water tank has sprung a very fast leak. So fast it comes out I expect a major crack. Haven’t taken the panels off under yet as we just got home. What is the availability of me getting the same tank. Is building one out of aluminum a good option? Perhaps I good build a larger one??Re: Old truck, new look…This is my weakness. Pulled fifth wheel around western states years ago. Now I take it to shows. 2010 Duramax electric brake voltage??I pull with a 2016 Ram and thanks to this form last fall I learned that my truck had a “light/heavy” towing setting for the electric brake circuit. Increasing the voltage for heavy. I also had not known that at slower speeds the voltage is reduced. Question. Friends are heading out tomorrow from Saskatchewan heading for Southern California. They are driving a 2010 Duramax pulling a fifth wheel. Would his truck have a similar setting other than the normal “gain” adjustment?
