I had a Reese dual jaw 16k when I owned my lighter weight Canyon Trail 5th Wheel - it worked well. We eventually upgraded our 5th wheel to a Tradition model and therefore had to upgrade the hitch to a Reese single jaw 20k model - it worked well too. Eventually we upgraded my truck to a hauler style and we also had to upgrade the hitch so we went with a B&W Companion hitch to fit the bed. I can honestly say the B&W Companion is a much higher quality hitch (I assembled all 3 of them), it hitches and unhitches easier, and it is easier to assemble and take partially apart when installing/removing from the bed of the truck - it is well worth the extra cost. At that price, am I making his Mercedes payment? Definitely high on the total price. Have him quote the rails plus install and then shop for your hitch. There are lots of good hitches available at reasonable prices and they just drop into the rails.Re: Accessing King Pin Box Nuts jjonn11 wrote: OK, that's good advice - I suppose I can always get by with 9 bolts holding it together (just in case the nut falls out of reach):). I contacted Fleetwood - the nuts are, in fact, captive (so they won't fall - LOL) LOL... It probably won't continue to loosen if you don't have a wrench on the other end - it will just spin tightly... Glad Fleetwood helped you out. :)Re: Accessing King Pin Box Nuts jjonn11 wrote: ...I HOPE the nuts are captive-type --- please advise...
