I think I will be moving on from here as well for this forum doing what they did. They very easily could have given him the refund and some moneys for his time, very sleazy, Take care guysRe: Anyone check the temperature of their brakeswhat does the manual say the brake temperature ought to be ??Re: Anti freeze in water heater anon125 wrote: UH OH thanks why not? it will only be a tiny bit I wouldn't worry about the rv antifreeze being toxic, many have left it in season after season before installing bypass valves, beside this I don't drink hot water. If you are concerned about it let the water run through it in the spring for 10 minutes or so to rinse it out.Re: When do you know to get out? mtofell1 wrote: Did you have it inspected before purchase? It seems a lot of these could/should have been found on a pre-purchase inspection. As for if/what to do now, like the previous poster mentions, it depends on what you need it to do and where you are at with money and what not. It sounds like you've had some bad luck with mechanics so maybe do some research in your area and find a good shop that you like, and can work with. That is probably the best first step just so you can wrap your head around some numbers. a little late to ask about a pre buy inspectionRe: Challenges replacing the wallpaper ccxnola wrote: For the ceiling, the tension in the bow of the roof held it in place and I put in small screws under the trim for the light fittings, a/c and along the sides - covered by the trim pieces. On the walls, I used brass screws - placed as would happen with a wood panel (not aligned with the plastic panel, but rather as would look like an actual wood siding). I used trim strips of actual cedar (buy the cheap fence pieces - cut and plane them) for around the sides, windows and base (screws under the trim). And it does have a very pleasant cedar odor - if you like the out-of-doors. any pictures?Re: Actual Gas MileageI don't even check mine, never did. The previous owner said around 6, so I left it at that. I didn't buy if for fuel economy although if I were to get 4mpg I would sell itRe: Hope this wasn't YOUR slide-out! jwmII wrote: Gee! Maybe we should create a special license endorsement for motorhome drivers along with their air brake training and of course the antenna could be included along with the electric steps and the open fuel door. All potential safety hazards but it's ok to leave your fridge burner on along with the water heater when refueling. :BRe: Hope this wasn't YOUR slide-out! mockturtle wrote: BTW, this was a front slide so it was really sticking out further than it looks in the photo. I thought it was the bedroom slide at first. You would have to know looking in the mirrors and hearing wind noise behind your head, eventually even the passenger would have had to see, if there was oneRe: Possible RV Restorewell, you got me guessing with a statement like that. Where are your sources for 15 years to outgas? That seems like a far stretchRe: Flat Tow vs Dolly or traileri don't quite understand the comment that no miles are accuring pulling all 4 down. No matter what way you go, there are parts always moving whether it's tires rotating or driveshafts (halfshafts included) bearings. People have preferences, and cost are factors. I don't like the idea of 3K plus to tow 4 down, even though it looks like the best and easiest way. Use dolly's can be purchased for under a thousand dollars on CL or local newspapers
