We were camped next to a trailer in Kentucky whose two door Dometic (don't know the model/serial#) caught on fire while they were off visiting another camper. By the time we noticed it, it took three fire extinguishers and the local fire department to put it out. A lot of damage - probably totaled their trailer. Bad business....! Today we removed the coach battery to sand down and paint the battery box and tray. It was showing some rust in areas and we wanted to stop it before it got worse. Unfortunately, we could not save the glide bars used to hold the battery box that moves the box in and out. It was so rusted that the little bearings fell out. I'm finding that I have to use spray grease on the battery slides about once a month to keep them from corroding. Must be just enough battery acid being spread around.
