Funny, it seems we can go nowhere anymore, online forums, Facebook, or in public in general and say anything without "offending" someone. It's sad. Funny, for a factory system, the inside now has beautiful sound. More than I will ever crank up, but when I had the head unit out, there is also wiring for a subwoofer as well. So the potential to piss off is very great were I not a considerate camper. I have always said, campers are some of the nicest and most respectful folks around. Seldom do I worry about belongings or even locking up the rig. And lastly to all you who keep piping in off topic, I am a 27 year retired police lieutenant and now the Chief Deputy of a Sheriff's Office with a total of near 30 years on the job. For those people that you do not like in the campgrounds being inconsiderate, I am usually the one who goes and explains exactly what camping courtesy is exactly. Doug I have not been able to climb up and look at the speakers, or pull them to see make, model, watts, ohms etc. At first thought it was a wiring issue. That has been checked, and fixed for that matter. Fleetwood had it wired so that each inside speaker was wired individually to Speaker A on/off and Speaker B on/off, but each to the left side output of a connection set for left and right output. I suddenly have stereo inside with much richer sound. :) I said in another response, I actually like that the speakers are cheapies. I'm not looking for power and hi-fidelity, I'm looking for balance so that one master volume control doesn't control inside and out because of the insane imbalance. Thanks for the information. That way I can fool with it depending on whether I have the outside speakers on or off. I don't often use the outside speakers, but when I do it's a nice feature. I actually like that they are underpowered speakers. And again to all you No-Outside-Speaker League folks, I don't turn them up for hi fidelity. In fact, I doubt you could hear it in your campsite if you were my neighbor because I adjust appropriately, BUT . . . without this fix, the person inside can't have any speakers, because it is so loud that you would hear it. I'm just looking for some equalization if I want the sound on inside as well. In the mobile audio world, speakers that are rated 1W @ 90+ db will be about as efficient as you can buy. Yes, they are very different speakers. Replies like this are what I suspect is the issue. ****!!!! To those who offered help, thanks. i saw all these posts and thought a ton of help was coming. I got a few good. Thanks to those who genuinely replied. All I want is even speakers. I like to have them play very subtly while I grill or sit under the awning, but for the Mrs to have it on inside at the same time, it is deafening inside for so little outside. I AM BY FAR A COURTEOUS CAMPER, BUT HEY THANKS FOR THE LECTURE. I'm no newbie, just with his RV. We have a 2014 Fleetwood Shamrock 233 S. LOVE this camper, but curiously the stereo system has switches to turn speakers on and off. One does one inside, another does the other inside and the last turns on the outside. If you would like inside and outside on at the same time, you have to blast the inside speakers to get anything usable to come out of the outside speakers. Is this proper?
