I'll have to check out whether a reflector of something along those lines would work. I will also see if it is possible to get a replacement decal which would cover any patch. Thanks guys.Aluminum Siding RepairToday, while winterizing my travel trailer, I noticed a hole in the aluminum siding. It is one piece top to bottom. It appears to have been hit by something, could have been a stone from the lawn mower or possibly someone threw something at it, I don't know. The break in the aluminum is approx. 1 1/2" to 2". I cut a piece of a rubber sealant tape that will keep the weather out for the winter. Is there a way to repair this hole/slit. or is a factory repair? It is right where a side decal is. You can fit a razor blade in the hole, it is very small.Re: city water connectionI worked for a water utility. The water, according to the AWWA standard can be no lower than 20 psi. On the other hand, taking readings at hydrants near plants, we put out close to 110 psi. The lowest in our system was 55 psi. Believe it or not, your insurance company can raise or lower your policy cost if the pressure near your home does not fall into those guidelines. Every year I had to take a representative out and do fire flow tests for insurance purposes.Re: Receiver pin holes out of round.I don't regret replacing the hitch after seeing the rust come out of it when I pulled it off. The hole is wearing down (6 O'clock), not towards the rear. When I first hooked up this year, I noticed there was a little wear on the left side where the pin bends, and no wear on the side with the lock. After our last 1,000 mile trip, it was noticeable larger. It's a done deal either way with the new Curt installed. Tomorrow I have to install the MaxAir vent covers that I never got around to do.Re: Receiver pin holes out of round.I bet I am actually less than the 7700 lbs. Replacing the OEM hitch with the Curt made me see that the OEM was much lighter and not as well built. I also purchased a dog bone type pin with "O" rings to stop the side to side movement. The side with the bent pin showed much more wear than the opposite side that has only started to show wear. The new Curt is designed to tow 10,000 regular and 12,500 with a weight distribution hitch, which is what I have. dodge guy, what do you believe to be the issue?Re: Receiver pin holes out of round. There is actually very little play in the receiver, but there is some. A new Curt receiver arrived today, the box was destroyed and the hardware missing. UPS is picking it up tomorrow for return.Re: Receiver pin holes out of round. kofire wrote: Just tack a washer on your current l shaped pin. That's also a possibility.Re: Receiver pin holes out of round.I ordered a Curt 14301 receiver to replace the OEM. I am now looking for a good pin lock.Re: Receiver pin holes out of round. Thanks again for the replies, they are helpful. I have looked at the torklift but honestly, it is too expensive. I may go with the Curt, and also like the idea of welding and drilling, there are plenty of shops in the area that could do this work.Re: Receiver pin holes out of round. All very good suggestions. I will get a dog bone type lock. Currently I have the "L" type lock. Maybe I will get a better receiver after looking at the recommended double split shaft collar.
