I believe the previous owner left the black tank drain open full time because we've had lots of issues that I'm slowly sorting out. I'm hoping that the flusher, if working correctly, will help clean off the sensors.Re: Black Tank FlushI have the clear fitting. If I don't use the flusher and just have someone let the toilet run I get clear water after a while too, so that doesn't tell me if the flusher is actually flushing or if it's just dumping water.Re: Black Tank FlushThe question of how to tell if the flusher is actually working or if it's stuck and just dumping water hasn't been answered. As I posted earlier, I can hear a "WHOOSH WHOOSH" for maybe 2 seconds and then just the sound of running water after that. I have warranty, but the fiver is on a seasonal site. If the flusher is not working warranty will cover the on-site visit and repair. However, if it IS working and they come out I get to pay $400 for the visit. So, how can I tell for sure that it is or isn't working properly? I suspect that the initial whooshing sound is what it's supposed to sound like the entire time it's on, but maybe I'm wrong?Re: Black Tank FlushI have the same issue, when I turn on the hose to the flusher I can definitely hear a spraying sound for about 2 seconds then it just sounds like running water. If I turn the hose off and back on I get the same two second flushing sound and back to running water.Re: Why only one bed in a fifth wheel and why sooo tall? Francesca Knowles wrote: Used to puzzle me, too, but several years of membership on Forums like this one have led me to the following conclusion/explanation...for what it's worth: In my opinion, fifth wheels are taller now because they're designed for old folks. Old folks don't like crawling into bed or breaking down a table to sleep, instead preferring sleeping accommodations that they can walk around and leave set up all the time. And which accommodations don't interfere with the La-z-boy/TV setup in the "living room". That's the plain conclusion I've arrived at after two years of research into the ideal rig for us to go tour the Country in. The divide seems so apparent to me that it's become a bit of a "thing" with us- somehow, becoming a fifth wheel owner is synonymous with giving in to old age. In much the same way that we cling to our low chairs as proof that our knees still work as well as they ever did, my Husband and I have decided that whatever rig we choose it will not be a fifth wheel. P.S. At 67(H) and 62(W) respectively, we are by every other definition OLD! I'm going to have to disagree here. Everyone I know that has purchased a fifth wheel, myself included, did so because of the way they pull. Handling, comfort and ease of maneuverability are very much different than a pull behind trailer. I'm mid 40's and most of my friends with fivers range from mid 30's to 50's.Re: Why only one bed in a fifth wheel and why sooo tall?As pretty much covered already, love the space, the large windows, side skylight, ceiling fan, full size kitchen cabinets, recliners, all of it. I can't think of anything I'd want to change in the floor plan we have. Well, other than the awning ending at the edge of the door, but that's another story all together. LOLRe: Another Salesman liedWhen did the trailer manufacturers start putting all of the specs inside of a cabinet? Did you look in the cabinets for the spec sheet?Re: FireplaceWe love ours, and like others have posted it came with, we didn't order it. It heats the entire trailer, we put the ceiling fan on low to move the air around and it works great. I did initially think the same as others, that it was weird and a waste of space but now I'm glad it's in there.Re: REDWOOD FIFTH WHEELWhether true or spam the message to anyone reading this is ALWAYS do complete walk through before you take delivery of any TT. Try everything, make them fill all tanks and drain after you test, etc etc etc.. If something like the trim being torn off happens you can cancel the deal right then and there or demand a new unit.
