i installed the tslb on our truck, had to set it between the frame rails to get the hitch height correct. If I set the tslb on top of the frame the head would of been too high and pulled the trailer nose heavy. go check out escapees. they have a section for medium duty and heavy duty trucks. mark183Views0likes0CommentsRe: 17.5 tire question
we went with the 215's. they were tenths of an inch larger than our original 16 inch tires. the 235's should work with most, but they are more expensive and have a 6000# rating per tire, the 215's have around a 4800# rating per tire. this was the best upgrade we have done to our raptor259Views0likes0CommentsRe: 17.5 tires
i would go with 17.5's. I believe it would be harder to find a 16 inch tire with a 3900 lb rating on the road, than a 17.5. all of the commercial shops carry them and are in stock. Also the 17.5 is about 1000 lbs more in capacity than the 16. Only downfall is the weight, 17.5 combo weighs over 100 lbs.245Views0likes0Comments
