However, like others have said, if you are only moving it a couple of times a year, it will likely be more cost effective to hire someone to move it for you. Do the cost comparison and then decide.Re: 1970 Appleby tent trailerNice! Have fun in it!Re: Best RV GPS for North America w/ Lifetime Map UpgradesDo you want it for RV services or for routing? The Garmin RV version (RV 760lmt) costs quite a bit more than the Trucker version (dezl 770LMT). both will route you to where you need to go, but the trucker version is almost half price. I still keep a physical trucker's Rand McNally atlas to check new routes myself.Re: Roads Through Mississippi & AlabamaAlabama's roads aren't bad. However, I've only taken them in the southern part of the state. I haven't been on Mississippi's roads in quite a while, so not sure about theirs.Re: Finding gas stops - any tricks?Allstays Truck and Travel. It lists all fuel stations with truck lanes. It lists how many truck lanes, how much parking, other services available, review of the station, etc. It also provides an overhead view of the stop to see how it is laid out, before you get there. I use it to plan where I will stop and enter the location in my GPS as a planned stop/waypoint. I love that app!Re: Planning gas stopsTruck and Travel App. It just shows where the fuel stations with truck lanes are located.Re: Need Information ncrowley wrote: I would get onto RV Park Reviews and look. That is a very reliable site for real reviews and a ton of information. They also link to the campground sites, so you can make reservations, once you find what you want.Re: Ohio to Florida on I 75. Steep grades? There are a few areas. Nothing terrible. As with any steep areas, just downshift, keep it slow and keep to the right lane. There are emergency pullouts, but you shouldn't need to worry about them.Re: Which Campground Will You Never Go Back To fla-gypsy wrote: Crooked River SP GA. The gnats there are depraved The campground is nice, the staff is great, but yes those Biting Midges (not gnats) can be absolutely terrible - mostly in late Summer and the Fall. Bug repellent helps quite a bit. If you are sitting outdoors, high speed fans tend to keep the midges away from you. FYI, this species of Midges live in the salt marshes all along the coast.
