Works great so far!Re: Cool Mods - Thread restored 10/18/2012 bbaley wrote: the site www.diyersonline.com seems to have a lot of useful and interesting RV parts and pieces and the prices seem surprisingly low. Has anyone here ordered from/dealt with them before ? Do you mean http://www.dyersonline.com/ ? The link you list does not work...Re: Faded Front Cap - Another Story Jebster wrote: Did you go to a regular auto body shop? I have been getting quotes from RV dealers who do body work of well over $3000 to redo the whole front cap and the fade on mine isn't anywhere near what you had. I did get Keystone to pony up $1500 toward the cost, and yes, mine is out of warranty. The work was done at Quincy Collision in Quincy Michigan. Prior to shopping around I was looking at $2300 to $2500 to have it sanded, painted and clear coat. Then an additional $340 to $380 to purchase a new decal Kit from local dealers. So I see how you can get the $3000 you talk about.Re: Cleaning Holding Tank Sensors Dutch_12078 wrote: I found the best solution for us years ago, was to replace the existing "screws through the tank wall" monitor system with an external capacitance sensor system. I like the "SeeLevel II" series that uses the existing wiring. With normal tank flushes, we've never had a misreading tank level. I also like that the SeeLevel II display reads in percentages instead of the inaccurate "Empty, 1/3, 2/3, Full" displays common on OEM and KIB systems. I just installed the SeeLevel II as well after first trying several ways of cleaning things. So far I'm pretty happy with these new sensors and they were quite easy to install.Re: Replacement mattressI got mine from MattressInsider.Com several years ago, and it's holding up well and I really like it.Re: water pump question - update problem solvedI would think you could also add an accumulator tank to help with the pulsing.Re: Faded Front Cap - Another Story Cecilt wrote: Did the shop give you any type of warranty against fading in the future or warn you that the fading may come back and you took the gamble? Yes they gave me a warranty of sorts. If the front cap starts to fade again in the next 3 years, they will apply the money I have already spent to the cost of sanding, painting and Clear Coating. My original quote was for $800 to paint and apply new decals, (I already have the decals). So I'm not really loosing anything.Re: Faded Front Cap - Another Story goducks10 wrote: Looks nice. I didn't think anything like that would work. Be nice to have a follow up at the end of this season. Very interested. Yes I agree that follow-up at the end of the season would be good. I'll make it a point to do so. If I start to see any Fading start again, I'll also be sure to update everyone.
