Hi- it was not a kit, Joy Ryder makes a kit that is kind of pricey. I used Monroe gas shocks, welded mounts to the axles and a cross member welded to the middle tandem spring mount helped to stiffen the frame and provided the upper location to mount the shocks. I did the disc brake upgrade two years ago, they are awesome and would not own another fiver without them. Got a kit on a pallet from Bill at http://stopyourtrailer.com he is great and top notch customer service. Just finished adding gas shocks and would recommend them also, installed at the correct angle unlike some factory installs. We just got back from a 2,700 mile round trip to Fort Wilderness Campgound at Disney and the ride was much improved.

Good to hear all the positive feedback about Bill and the conversion........I just picked my pallet of parts up from Bill at the shipping companies warehouse! The install starts next weekend, the Ford module is delayed. I'll post on the results and looking forward to great results on the first trip down to Myrtle Beach in a few weeks.

Our thoughts and experiences dovetail AZCLs, the CC is nice and takes you to the next step, but our SB is almost as nice as a CC with a better bunkhouse. Happy New Year.

Hi- I had a 2006 6.0 identical to my current signature truck. Bought it new in late 2005 when the model year was available and traded it for the current truck 6 years later. 90K on it with nothing done by the Ford service recommendations. Original tires, batteries and breaks. Great truck with a strong motor. Best of luck and happy holidays.

May want to look at a BD3 from Trailersaver, an air cushioned ride makes a big difference. We had a Reese Signature series until we upgraded to the BD3. Good luck!

Thanks for the responses, was thinking this may be more secure than a crank up tire holder, like our trucks have. Although, I've never had one on any of my trucks fail either.

BAL Hide-A-Spare
Looking for the pros and cons from anyone who has one on their fifth wheel, either factory installed or added. Thinking of adding it to our fifth wheel. Easy to use? Strong? Install? Or suggestions on another mounting method. Etc, etc. Thanks.
