Chris for me and my 03, one set at 88K under warranty. The next set went in at 235K, at my expense. The rest of the truck is so solid and still looks so good (when i clean it up, i have people telling me it still looks new), that i just couldnt see buying a new truck (when every diesel out there has SOME sort of expensive issue from time to time), so for me, spending $5K on injectors to be able to keep driving this truck for at least another 5 years was a financial no brainer.Re: A heads up on power moisheh wrote: My experience is that 130 does no harmMy experience is that 130 does no harm. But 134 is hell on electronics Electric companies have a recording device that they sometimes install. It shows the voltages a period of time. Days I think. We would all be shocked if they did a test in Mexico. Our Dynasty has an EMS. I went into the shop one day and the power in the MH was off. Lights in the shop were OK . I called the CFE and the lineman that came out tried to tell me that 134 was the Mexican standard. I did not buy his fable. He explained that in a tourist area they keep it high because otherwise it is too low on the weekends when the town is packed. He finally adjusted the output on the transformer. It is now at a safe less than 130. Moisheh commercial/industrial electrician of 33 years here, and you would be correct that 130V will not harm a thing. Completely acceptable, and some of the power companies in GA have their transformers tapped to achieve that voltage for the same reasons, to allow for voltage drop during the summer months when they are under huge loads due to A/C usage.Re: I still love my truck.2003 Silverado Duramax owner here. Bought it brand new. Just hit 240K on the clock this week. Still going strong. Hope to keep it another 5 years or so.Re: UGLY!!! Rick Jay wrote: Ok, I'm 55 and at our recent RV & Camping Show the majority of units had the dark interiors. Each one was like walking into a cave. Now granted, my eyes aren't as good as they used to be, but even when they were better, I liked a nice, bright and airy interior. These things were terrible. I agree with the "trying to hide something" mentality. When we special ordered our motorhome, we chose to pay the extra for the solid wood cabinetry upgrade and ordered the lighter maple cabinets over the golden oak. Woodwork tends to darken with age anyway and we expected to have our rig for 20+ years (we're in year 12 this year). I'd take our interior over ANY I saw at the show. But I am in the over-50 crowd, so maybe it is a generational thing. I just find it interesting that in over 5 pages of posts, there have been very few supporting the dark interiors. I wonder if they're going to be "in demand" in a few years when they start hitting the used market? ~Rick I think thats because the majority of the people on THIS board do the "camping" thing at campgrounds and campsites. The number of younger folks the RV industry is appealing to right now (and this is just my opinion as far as what your seeing on the inside of RV's these days), but there is a boat load of RV's being sold to the much younger crowd that dont do regular camping. They do race tracks, and i'm referring to club level motorcycle roadracing (my background), dirtbike racing/riding (thats who i sold my Jayco 5th wheel to several years ago), club level car road racing, camping at dirtbike parks that are popping up all over the place, ect. There are a LOT more places these young folks go that many of you (and me) old timers are simply not aware of. Trust me, the RV industry is selling the hell out of these things to that demographic, ESPECIALLY the fancy toyhaulers.Re: Buyer's remorse?? fun w son wrote: we've all been there.... but the slide out issue is not an issue. think about this. if you have to stop along the way to get something out the TT, you will pull in somewhere with alot of room. you just open the door, hit the slide out button and get what you need... we do it all the time. once you get it home and load it the way you want it done, you will see that you're gonna put the things you need on the road close to the door where you can get them fast... like i tell my wife "don't sweat the small stuff" haha LoL!! my thoughts exactly. We have the dual slides and island. You dont have to extend the slides all the way out to get past the island. I dont see what the big deal is.Re: Best trip plannerit looks to me like there are MANY apps on Google Play for campgrounds. None of you guys have tried them yet?Re: UGLY!!! coolmom42 wrote: I am 60, with 28 & 30 yr old children and 3 grandchildren. I haven't seen them or any of their friends decorating their homes like these RVs. If anything, the younger people I know (who actually decorate) tend towards lighter palettes. And a lot of them just don't care. You are right, though, most of the negative comments I heard were from people about my age. BUT we were also over half the attendees at the show, by my estimate. We are also the ones buying the higher dollar RVs, and we vote with our checkbooks! LoL i get that! We were at the RV show here in ATL just a few weeks ago (when we purchased our 3rd RV), and the demographic there was people in their 30's and 40's, and they were definitely ooo'ing and ahh'ing over the "bling" of these new RV's. Hell, i actually felt like the old guy compared to most of the people at the show here! ;)Re: UGLY!!!i'm sure i'm gonna catch hell for this, but how many of you complaining about the styles and colors of today's RV's are 60 years old or older? I see in several of your profiles that youre retired. I get what most of ya'll are saying, but the looks youre seeing in todays RV's are what many of the "younger" families are wanting. By "younger" i'm referring to 40 and under. I'm 54, but since i roadraced motorcycles for the last 15 years, i have many many friends in the 28-40 year old range, and RV's have become VERY popular for the younger crowd, and what youre seeing at the RV shows is what the younger folks seem to want (at least thats what ive seen as well as heard from a LOT of people). Not disrespecting any of you, just telling you why i personally think the styles have gone to what they've gone to. Just my.02 worth. YMMV
