This post is useless without pics. :ERe: OK, which one of you is this? What good RV'er doesn't keep a copy of the movie RV in the camper....we do. Our new 2014 Grey Wolf the kids named it They'll. As the licence plate states as well. The Forest River factory guys that did our warranty repair loved it. Our previous and first camper a 1990 18 foot Kitt Monterey called it our ghetto camper. It looked old and tiny compared to other setups in the campgrounds. It served us well however. I ordered them after I had used the yellow "lego" blocks and they broke the first time. Here is a thread with more info about the Anderson blocks. Anderson Thread Get them you will not be disappointed. Regards, DavidRe: Andersen-3604 Camper LevelerI am going to get these as I just purchased a new trailer and decided to upgrade from wooden planks to the Yellow block levelers. Well first time trying to pull onto them, snap crackle pop. Camping World did issue a credit to me for both sets and said to dispose of them instead of returning them, makes me a little happier. Regards, David First Time Use - broken RV Leveling BlocksWith the new camper I thought I should get leveling blocks instead of wooden planks. Well now I am going back to the wooden plank way. First time out of the box and I stacked 2 on the ground and 1 in the middle to give one side of my camper a little raise. Placed them under the front of the of each tire and snap crackle pop the first bottom one broke into a bunch of pieces. I think I will try the Andersen 3604 leveler before I go back to wooden planks. I will say that I called Camping World and no fuss or hassle and was issued a refund immediately. They said to dispose of them as it was not effective to ship my 2 sets back. Very impressed with that service. Just wished they carried the Andersen leveler to switch too. Re: HEY we need a sticky for our TT pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!We have had ours for about 3 weeks. Thoughts?OK after reading these all and reviewing my options I will be going with the Equal-i-zer 10,000/1,000 hitch setup. Thanks again. Can not wait to pick this up Saturday! Regards, DavidRe: About to pull the trigger on this combo. Thoughts?Ok so thanks for all the excellent responses. The dealer is offering up this weight distribution hitch but it looks like I should go with something a little different and at least 1000 LB bars. The truck specs are from the door plate and looks like I had an extra number in the Front weights (fixed now). What is nice is that I am not expecting to carry much if anything in the truck bed. In the truck it will be me, my wife, and 2 daughters along with a tablet or too and a few stuffed animals that must ride with the kids. I will need to locate a weight distribution hitch between now and Saturday morning between IL and OH. I would love suggestions on what and where to get something in that area of travel. Regards, DavidAbout to pull the trigger on this combo. Thoughts?I thought I would update everyone. I picked this up on Friday from RV R US in Ohio. What a great place. Absolutely love this setup as I have it below. Weighed the setup after filling up with gas and an empty camper. Here is the weights I received. Steer Axle 3100 lb, Drive Axle 3780, trailer axle 4980, Gross Weight of 11,860. The yellow sticker on the door of the camper stated 5820 lb. Here it is all hitched up. Back in this post I talked about looking for a travel trailer. Well I think I am about to end up with the following and would appreciate any advice or criticism on this configuration. Especially the weight distribution piece. Please check out my post below and respond in that post on any comments or concerns. Final Greywolf 26DBH We have ordered the truck we wanted and now I need to find and finalize our TT. Please feel free to respond and offer suggestions and opinions. We camped with a 18 foot 20 year old trailer towed with our 02 Trailblazer. While it worked for us as a first camper it showed us what we really wanted. There are 4 of us. Wife, 2 daughters 10 and 8 and me. A queen bed for the adults, bunks for the kids and a couch. I came upon this Aspen Trail RV 2760BHS. Also this with out a slideAspen Trail RV 2710BH. Not sure I really want a slide, would like to keep things simpler and easier to camp with. When we were in AZ we did a lot of boondocking on BLM and Unimproved federal camp grounds. Now I know that now living in the Chicago area our camping style will have to change so not so sure on what to get. Was looking to keep the camper around 28 feet in length. Wanting to do the double bed bunks for the kids so they have the room they need. Also have the table and couch double as sleeping areas for them to each bring a friend. I will include the truck specs below. Not concerned on towing. Think I have just about have that aspect covered. Looking to do most of our camping in the Midwest. We will do a trip to Disney World in Florida in the future and a trip this summer to Yellowstone for camping. Thoughts?
