I have the Prolite Plus S. I have a 3500 tow limit. The S comes in at 1390 empty. It obviously tows like a dream. I visited the factory and was very impressed. I wouldn't advise riding the edge. They have lighter options. But obviously if that isn't the route you want to take, I would advise looking at other tow vehicle options. I have purchased american made for the last 30 years and my last new Jayco drove me over the edge. So with that said, there are other Canadian options. Thanks guys...so My last camper had a 3way fridge. Originally my dealer disconnected the dc operation in fear that I would kill my battery by forgetting to change it over to gas when I might go into a restaurant or whatever. I did have him reconnect it and I absolutely loved running it on dc while running down the road. I had absolutely no trouble at all and never killed my battery. I was vigilant about changing over to gas or electric when it was available. So fast forward. I do have no trouble running on gas down the road and it does function fully. Unfortunately my new fridge only runs a/c - propane. I noticed my fridge plug was so accessible, I figured I would ask here if it could be done before I ordered an inverter. Hi All, Has anyone tried running their RV fridge on a basic inverter. In my case I have easy access to the plug on my fridge. I would disconnect the plug from the 110v outlet and plug it into an inverter. What size inverter would I need for a 3.7 size Norcold Fridge. Have you checked out Taylor Coach?? Talk with Brad before you commit to an American built unit. It may be out of your price point but you won't be disappointed in the build quality. Hands down....Taylor Coach out of Ontario Canada. Talk with Brad Taylor. I've owned campers for over 30 years and have had the privilege of owning all the American made junk out there. Check out their web site and Brads many Youtube videos. You will never look at another American made product again. Good luck and Happy Camping. BTW..who else feels so secure in their build quality that they offer you a full 4 year warranty. If you do go American...Call RV Inspection Specialists for your Pre-Delivery Inspection and walk through. And by all means Do Not Shop Price!!
